Wild Mushroom Weekend: Foraging, Harvesting, and Cooking

Mycomaniac Erin Moore dusted a group of students with a healthy cloud of knowledge. The fungi were plentiful in the upper reaches of the Cascade River valley. A variety of colors, textures, aromas, and forms greeted the crew in the ferns, maples, and hardwoods.
Mr. Pickles, of Dining Hall kitchen fame cooked a variety of fungi to display how easy fungi are to enjoy at home, after thorough identification and the use of dichotomous keys.
