Instant City Life (Danish: Bylivskassen) by VEGA Landskab Architects
This pocket garden - just the size of 1 parking space - lets nature back into the city. If you want, you can get your hands dirty while you meet your neighbours and the passersby. But you can also just sit down, enjoy and taste the plants and contemplate life. The pocket garden affords a range of opportunities that create the framework for new life in the city.
After posting the video that Jim took yesterday, I was embarrassed when I realized that my hair looked totally ratty and the shirt I was wearing dates back to the 90s, or possibly the 80s. Today I went to the hairdresser and had a shampoo, condition, trim and styling, and then proceeded to Macy's to buy some new garments. Hoping I look a little more like someone you wouldn't mind sitting next to on a bus:-)

Cereal? Non-dairy creamer? Sugar? WHICH ONE IS IT? After looking at the ingredients, I couldn't really tell you. I wonder who buys this stuff?

Nos levantamos muy pronto. Era de noche y el frío se hacía sentir.
Llegamos al lugar donde debíamos dejar el coche. Nos abrigamos y miramos al cielo, contemplando un precioso manto estrellado sobre nosotros.
Nada más comenzar a caminar un sonido profundo se empezó a escuchar: un ciervo en la lejanía emitía un sonido que llegaba perfectamente hasta nosotros. Al poco el sonido de otro,
y poco después otro más.
Era todavía de noche, y sorprendidos seguimos nuestro camino.
Seguíamos escuchando cada poco algún animal, y poco a poco la claridad se empezaba a notar. También nos llamó la atención la neblina que había en la parte inferior de
algunas montañas. A pesar de la belleza de ese paisaje debíamos continuar, pues no queríamos que se nos hiciera tarde.
Un rato después paramos, empezando a disfrutar de uno de los más bonitos espectáculos de la Naturaleza: la berrea del ciervo.
Al principio se escuchaban muy espaciados en el tiempo, pero poco a poco el sonido iba siendo más continuo.
En la lejanía se les veía mover, y pudimos observarlos perfectamente. Incluso apreciamos cómo nos miraban.
El frío de la mañana se debaja notar, y tuvimos que abrigarnos con gorro, guantes, etc...
A pesar del frío estuvimos disfrutando toda esa mañana.
Seguimos un rato cuando, de repente, vimos que algo extraño se movía. Entonces un escalofrío nos recorrió todo el cuerpo.
Allí estaban. Caminaban sigilosamente. Casi no nos lo podíamos creer, pero pudimos observarlos perfectamente varios minutos.
Son unos instantes mágicos, en los que piensas que las cosas más importantes son a veces las menos valoradas. También un instante para pensar en las personas que no han podido
disfrutar de esos instantes, y que estarán siempre presentes. Desde allí arriba seguro que estaban guiando a esos animales para que los pudiésemos ver.
Al poco desaparecieron. Nos miramos sonriendo, sabiendo que lo que habíamos visto no se repetirá todos los días. Pensando en la suerte que habíamos tenido, y además poder
compartirlo con la gente que queremos.
Allí habríamos estado todo el día, aunque era hora de volver y continuar la aventura en otros lugares.
Volvimos la vista atrás, recordando esos instantes mágicos. Fue una mañana inolvidable.

Instant Reborn event started 2 days ago and quite a crowd gathered on this sunny Saturday afternoon in the store. I felt happy seeing familiar faces who were in our event 2 years ago, lingering around chit chatting with each other.
Interestingly camera people usually have quite decent stamping etiquette, not like those who make quite a mess stamping on the table and wasting so much postcards without reading instructions on the how-to.
The passport book is so much fun and from what I heard, many like the idea and decided to own one at HK$25.
Polaroid collector TM refurbished some 636 cameras and painted them black and white, added "Instant Reborn" face plates, there you go, a limited edition "Instant Reborn" camera for the event, at this stage only 10 pieces are available. A leather/camera/watch fanatic Jemmer helped to add a leather strap too. It also came with a nice cotton bag and is sold at HK$1395 with a free pack of PX-600 film.
I did sold an SX-70 and a few pack of films myself today to a lady who is going to give this as a gift to her husband. I forgot to ask her to take a picture with Dr. Land though, people from the community did this naturally and one of them looks very much alike Dr. Land :)
BTW, Mijonju came all the way from Tokyo to this event, I bet he will be having a lot of fun going through TM's camera collections tomorrow in a private appointment.
Although the exhibiting items are not as jam packed as in 2008, we do have some polaroid T-shirts, poster, SX-70 shutter button, straps, etc for sale. I wish I could have more time to create better contents, but the not so stable PX films did gave me a few hiccups. Anyway, I'm glad we have good support from the community, I can't wait for next week's talk in City University.

I bought a few polaroid films. It's not easy to find anymore because it's no more produced, but there is still a shop selling them in Berlin. Or there is now the new PX600 monochrome film from the impossible project that you can buy online, I didn't try it yet. ===> This photo is public domain. More infos.
