Its nice to try a instant thats a little different. Had a good authentic pad Thai taste.
But it was hardly instant. Had a lengthy making process and needed to have prawns and greens added (luckily I had some) otherwise would have been really dreary!
A couple, high up on the peak of one of Taiwan's mountains. They are cooking instant noodles in the freezing cold weather, and the smoke is illuminated by natural lighting.

I think that to play on the safe side I need to start shooting on 'B' with this instant back malarkey! Most of my shots come out way underexposed.
I don't think me and Instant Back will ever truly get on.

Over the last few years I've been casually watching the improvements made by The Impossible Project (TIP) on their line of instant film. When I saw a near mint SX-70 camera (chrome and tan) for sale at treehouse, I decided it was time to dive into SX-70 photography and TIP film.

Smaller than an average playing card! The instant back to my camera turns it into a fucking beast of a thing, heavy and clunky and I just love looking at it. The photos are excellent, I can never get over how much detail gets packed into such a tiny shot. I dig miniature anyway.

Los teatinos o clérigos regulares (Ordo Clericorum Regularium, CR) es una orden religiosa masculina de la iglesia Católica, formada por sacerdotes. Fue fundada en Roma en 1524 por San Cayetano de Thiene, Juan Pedro Carafa, después papa Paulo IV, Bonifacio de Colle y Pablo Consiglieri, para restaurar entre los eclesiásticos la forma de vida apostólica, y promover la santidad del estado sacerdotal mediante la profesión de los tres votos religiosos.
Origen y fundación [editar]
En los días del Renacimiento, la necesidad de reforma en la Iglesia se iba haciendo cada vez más acuciante. El papa Julio II había reunido en 1512 el V Concilio de Letrán, con el deseo de promover una reforma de costumbres. Pero la legislación conciliar quedó en letra muerta a causa de la corrupción que contaminaba amplios sectores eclesiásticos.
El Oratorio del Amor Divino, fundado en 1516 en Roma por Cayetano sobre el modelo de los que ya funcionaban en Italia, apareció en la Ciudad Eterna como una institución compuesta por eclesiásticos y seglares, consagradas al servicio de Cristo y su Iglesia. Pronto comprendió Cayetano que la acción del Oratorio sería insuficiente para atajar los graves males de la Iglesia. Por otra parte, consideraba que el quicio de la reforma estaba en el clero, sumido en la codicia y frivolidad. Madurando, pues, una restauración a fondo del carácter del sacerdocio, concibió la idea de vivir en el estado eclesiástico la profesión de los tres votos religiosos, y a este fin decidió fundar una Congregación o Compañía de sacerdotes que llevaran vida común, bajo la obediencia a un Propósito y la dependencia inmediata de la Santa Sede. En el ambiente del Oratorio halló Cayetano sus primeros colaboradores. Entre ellos, la prestigiosa figura de Juan Pedro Carafa, obispo de Chieti (en latín Teate), antiguo nuncio en Inglaterra (1513) y vicecapellán mayor de Carlos V por el reino de Nápoles (1517). Seducido por los ideales de Cayetano, le suplicó que le admitiera en la nueva fundación. Carafa prestó a la orden su enorme erudición, su profunda experiencia curial y diplomática, y su dinamismo batallador en defensa de los intereses de la Iglesia. El nombre latino de su cargo episcopal, brindaría la denominación popular a la nueva orden.

Pese a la fuerte oposición de la Curia, Clemente VII aprobó la nueva Congregación por el Breve Exponi nobis el 24 de junio de 1524. Los cuatro fundadores tuvieron especial interés en celebrar una ceremonia fundacional sobre el sepulcro de San Pedro, escogiendo para ello la fiesta de la Exaltación de la Santa Cruz. Reunidos en la mañana del 14 de septiembre de ese año, en la capilla de San Andrés, en la Basílica Vaticana, asistieron a la Misa que celebró, como Legado especial de Clemente VII, Giovanni Battista Bonziano, obispo de Caserta y Prodatario del Papa. Después se trasladaron al altar papal. Sentado el obispo en su sede, el notario Esteban de Amanis dio lectura al Breve pontificio. Luego, cada uno de los fundadores, que en la víspera habían renunciado ante el mismo notario a todos sus bienes, pronunció a los pies del Comisario papal la fórmula de profesión religiosa, escrita en una cédula firmada que depositaron sobre el altar de San Pedro. Todos recibieron la sotana teatina de manos del Legado, el cual impartió su bendición a los fundadores, y les rogó que, a tenor del Breve papal, alejados un poco de la concurrencia, procedieran a la elección del prepósito. Ésta recayó en Juan Pedro Carafa, que desde aquel instante pasó a ser cabeza de la Comunidad.

For those of you who think that Polaroid beat Kodak at its own game (that is, making cheapo plastic cameras for dumbs), you should take a look at Kodak instant cameras. Kodak made it again: a camera still more low-end than even a Polaroid 600. Even more anti-ergonomical than a Polaroid. Gratz, Kodak.
You know, yester I was looking at Ansel's 'The camera'. Funny thing: in an entire chapter dedicated to instant photography, where ole Ansel praised the virtues of Polaroid pro cameras and films, there were only two lines about Kodak instant system. He, or whoever wrote the book for him, only said about it that it was aimed at amateurs and that he had not tried it. At least, if guys there in Rochester had shown Ansel the color of money Kodak instant system would have had a few more lines in 'The camera'. Who knows if we could even have quoted a beautiful epitaph from the book. Tsk tsk. Very ugly thing from you, Ansel, taking into account that your first pics of the Half Dome were shot with a Brownie. Damn good pics, tho...

Transcurren los primeros días de Enero,precedidos por algunos días fríos del mes de Diciembre,aunque siempre con la presencia del sol, yo espectadora de esos atardeceres un poco menos intensos pero siempre bellos que me hacían correr a la orilla del mar a disfrutar de las puestas de sol mientras disfrutaba unas vacaciones en la costa,en ésta época del año solo concurrida por algunos turistas casi siempre europeos que vienen buscando el calor tropical y esas playas frías para nosotros en ésta temporada invernal para ellos estaban idealmente tibias.
Es la primera fotografía que coloco en flickr éste nuevo año,sigo en la distancia pero siempre recordando los gratos momentos compartidos con ustedes amig@s.

After posting the video that Jim took yesterday, I was embarrassed when I realized that my hair looked totally ratty and the shirt I was wearing dates back to the 90s, or possibly the 80s. Today I went to the hairdresser and had a shampoo, condition, trim and styling, and then proceeded to Macy's to buy some new garments. Hoping I look a little more like someone you wouldn't mind sitting next to on a bus:-)
