It's a little touchy about exposure, but rather nice if you get it right. Sorry about subject, rather out of my comfort zone.
Students in Kakuma refugee camp, Kenya using tablets from Instant Classroom, the Vodafone Foundation’s ‘digital school in a box’.
Two Instant Classroom units were delivered to Kakuma in July 2015 to connect Greenlight Secondary School and the community library to the internet giving students access to free digital educational resources. The Instant Classroom is shipped in a secure and robust 52kg case which is equipped with a laptop, 25 tablets pre-loaded with educational software, a projector, a speaker and a hotspot modem with 3G connectivity. The tablets can connect to the laptop locally, enabling teachers to deliver content and applications to students without the need to access the internet. All the components can be charged simultaneously from a single power source while the case is locked. After 6-8 hours of charging time, the Instant Classroom can be used for a full day in a classroom without access to electricity.
The portable nature of the equipment has allowed for Instant Classroom to be moved between schools, enabling more students to benefit from tablet based learning.

I recently had a new follower offer a few nice compliments about my pics that somehow touched a nerve with me. I became very captivated and more than just a bit aroused. So much so, that I felt compelled to dress in some sexy garb and caught these pics before putting the camera down and letting ‘whatever happens…happen!!” (Note to my new follower - you know who you are: Thank You!!)

Instant Reborn event started 2 days ago and quite a crowd gathered on this sunny Saturday afternoon in the store. I felt happy seeing familiar faces who were in our event 2 years ago, lingering around chit chatting with each other.
Interestingly camera people usually have quite decent stamping etiquette, not like those who make quite a mess stamping on the table and wasting so much postcards without reading instructions on the how-to.
The passport book is so much fun and from what I heard, many like the idea and decided to own one at HK$25.
Polaroid collector TM refurbished some 636 cameras and painted them black and white, added "Instant Reborn" face plates, there you go, a limited edition "Instant Reborn" camera for the event, at this stage only 10 pieces are available. A leather/camera/watch fanatic Jemmer helped to add a leather strap too. It also came with a nice cotton bag and is sold at HK$1395 with a free pack of PX-600 film.
I did sold an SX-70 and a few pack of films myself today to a lady who is going to give this as a gift to her husband. I forgot to ask her to take a picture with Dr. Land though, people from the community did this naturally and one of them looks very much alike Dr. Land :)
BTW, Mijonju came all the way from Tokyo to this event, I bet he will be having a lot of fun going through TM's camera collections tomorrow in a private appointment.
Although the exhibiting items are not as jam packed as in 2008, we do have some polaroid T-shirts, poster, SX-70 shutter button, straps, etc for sale. I wish I could have more time to create better contents, but the not so stable PX films did gave me a few hiccups. Anyway, I'm glad we have good support from the community, I can't wait for next week's talk in City University.
I will be updating more photos of this event to the Flickr set Instant Reborn 2010, stay tuned.

Instant Lifting Concentrate.
Vintage 1979-1982. Kodak lost a bundle on these cameras when they were sued by Polaroid for a patent infringement. You'll sometimes see these in yard sales with no name plate. The reason being that as part of the Polaroid settlement, Kodak had to stop making the instant film. When owners of these "Kodaroids" (as they were sometimes called,) sent the logo from their camera to Eastman, they received a discount coupon that could be used to buy a different Kodak camera.
These cameras are plentiful on the secondary market and have practically zero value.
Shot done in our lab using experimental New55 Instant 4X5 PN film. The subject seems to be wondering what to do with that old 4X5 camera.

A few years ago a colleague gave me her old Polaroid camera. I bought a couple of packs of Impossible Project film, loaded one, shot a test shot or two and then forgot all about it for years. This week I pulled the camera down off the shelf and tried another shot or two, but the painfully expensive instant film was wasted. the other pack, which was Silver Shade B&W, had been in the fridge, so I gave it a go and... it still seems to be OK. the results are still quite soft-focus, but that's OK.

If I could do this again, I'd spend more time getting the letters on the box right. But my skills don't stretch that far. (yet)
