The Theopticon, an installation by Antoinette Suiter at the Baltimore Artscape Midway Show, works essentially on the same principle as a stereoscope. Looking into a set of mirrors, the viewer sees two identical stages become one. Actors on one stage can then "interact" with actors on the other stage, or even appear to occupy the same space at the same time.
