The centerpiece of this design is the rotating header image, a photograph that makes up more than half of the homepage, but really shines within the layout. There's plenty of navigational links here, but they're grouped well as to not overwhelm the user. A solid design makes the large amount of content very accessible.

I took some inspiration from other photographers for these shots, since they were too good to pass up. Here, CP 7020 is getting ready to cross the Menomonee River Bridge just outside of the Milwaukee Intermodal Station.
Copying is a harsh way to describe inspiration.
Today I was feeling very inspired and creative again, this time by Industrial Living. So this display I created with that theme in mind.
I came across the amazing new chest by MeshWorx at FaMESHed, and the two chairs with antlers also at FaMESHed, by Handverk. I based the rest around those items to pull it all together!

These photographs are from the 19th July 2016. I took them on a brilliant summers day while helping my dad change our water from the old, to the new water mains. My inspiration was watching the bright flames as the flux was sweat using a blow torch. The colours were vivid but the focus was always the end result of the copper fittings fitting nicely onto the pipe-work. The pictures I took were on my Canon EOS 1300D using an "Olympus OM-SYSTEM ZUIKO AUTO-W 28mm" lens. All images were taken at an ISO of 100 and the aperture was always at f/2.8. I then used Adobe Lightroom to touch up and upload. Hope you enjoy, Callum.

Try to ignore the fact that this site has a dreaded splash screen and enjoy the great illustrations and lovely graphic details on the other pages. There's a very basic design here at heart, but the beautiful detailing makes this an original artwork.

Launch is set for 8:02pm (ET) tonight.
I found the concept art in the upper right corner on the classic space web site a couple of years ago.I dont know who made it, but it inspired me enough to build 3 lego spaceships out of it. First the VS-015 Hornet Ranger (upper left), then the VS-017 Centaur (bottom right) and finally the VS-020 Minotaur (bottom left). That last one is quite close to the drawing. It allowed me to greatly improve my skills and taught me that at these scale (50+ cm long), careful planning and clear overview of what I want to do is really important.
I say thanks to whoever did that concept art.
Inspiration Point is a highlight of the Alum Cave Bluffs trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Just a short distance from the namesake rock outcropping of the trail, the point occurs at a bend in the trail which allows panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, frequently covered in the trademark mist of the Smoky Mountains, providing an often mystical mountain view.

The giant red hand immediatly grabs your attention, but is balanced well by the size and weight of "Fray" on the opposite side of the page. The Subscribe Now button is also quite large, but seems to work well with the other elements on the page as well.
