I was able to get a few shots of this handsome white-tailed only because the winds were gusting and he could not quite pinpoint my location... for a bit. Soon he did and off he went back to the woods...I was happy to see him disappear at this time of year

This shot, in my mind, has been over a year in the making. I stumbled across a Flickr account from "waldronyoung" of a few different trains at this spot. It took over a year and some creative scouting to find this location and find a way to shoot it. Everything lined up today and the consist was equally attractive. Here is A418 southbound on the Westlock Sub on the outskirts of St Albert, AB.

With all that is going on in the US, I'm at a loss for photo inspiration, but went for a walk with my lensbaby and found a field with some flowers and a tiny butterfly and for one brief moment, it seemed all was right with the world... : )

The primary inspiration for The Breakers was Italian Renaissance style, which differs quite a bit from the other Vanderbilt property I've been to, Biltmore, where the design was influenced by elegant French chateaus.
