This HDR photo overlooks Shoal Creek in Joplin, MO and called Inspiration Point. It's a beautiful spot on the south-side of town in a secluded neighborhood above the creek with an excellent view.

My adorable little model Cutie-Pie perfectly posed beside a stem of a Brown Eyed Susan. He's surrounded by yellow petals of sunshine!!! Pure happiness =))

dense fog this morning, the bluehour heralded no dawn just offered a blue blanket. I was alone entirely 5am on St Mary's beach save for the birds, not even the Lighthouse herself was visible. only 20 metres of causeway showing and the feeling was one of exceptional simplicity, serenity, and peace.

Have printed this both ways as I like the square that shows in the thumbnail too.

Angela has been a contact of mine for quite a while. She is such a talent - her range of expertise is unbelievable!! She photographs newborns and children so beautifully and her still life and naturey shots are fabulous! She always has something nice to say when she visits my stream and is truly an inspiration to me and many others:)

You can visit her here: www.flickr.com/photos/angelacphotography/ - you must go there!

Sakura contemplates the graffiti artist’s message with a smile… or is she the artist herself? Say, what’s she got in that case?

Created for the Smile on Saturday theme, WORDS.

This is my third year back to Enchantments during its larch season. There is something special about this place that draws me to return again and again. I like the pristine alpine lakes here with granite rock and mountains in the surroundings. The golden larches during autumn season just makes this already photogenic place extra special.

To make the best of my time here, I did lots of research on the potential places to scout and shoot. This is my first location off the beaten path and I am really glad how this image turns out. The fleeting moment when the sun rises just above the horizon is always a memorable moment to capture.

Music is always on my mind when exploring to find inspiration for that tune to jump out.

Keep positive you will find it.

Dearly Departed Grandpa...

For all the times you kissed my forehead when I cried,

For all the choices you helped me to decide...

For the laughter and smiles you gave me,

For all the teasing and fear you instilled in me...

Like stories of werewolves, hide-behinds and snakes,

haunted houses and vampire stakes.

For all those nights spent wonderfully awake,

from all the candy that gave me a stomach ache...

For being my partner in crime...

Me and you against the world all the time.

You truly were a hero to me,

so thank you Grandpa for leaving a wonderful memory...

I'll cherish each one like they were gold...

From now, forever and when I am old...

I'm often asked why I take pictures? The answer is two-fold: for myself, to remember the places I've been, and for others, to inspire them to see the world. Every day for 6 years I would walk by a photo of this scene in the Lofoton Islands of Norway. SmugMug had a giant panorama print of Reine -- it took over the whole wall -- and it was hung in one of the main hallways. Every day I'd walk by it and say "one day I'm going to go there."

After 3 trips to Iceland, Rebecca finally said to me "damnit, we're going to Norway. I'll plan the trip. You can come along if you'd like." So we booked flights, invited Andy along ... and then promptly kicked Rebecca out of planning the trip. Andy and I did most of the planning and a 7 day photo trip turned into a 5 day trip with 2 days of backcountry skiing. I'll cut to the chase and skip the long story about how we nearly didn't make it here and just leave it at this: We stopped in Iceland on the way, photographed some ice-caves, beat the largest snowstorm in Reykjavik's history and caught our flight with 5 minutes to spare. Everything was easy after that.

This is probably the most photographed scene in all of the Lofoton Islands, with a similar photo from Hamnoy coming in a close second, but I don't care. This inspired me to travel halfway across the world and see and do something different. So here's my own take, taken at 6:30am on a cold morning, when the wind died down long enough for the unnamed mountain peak to reflect in the water. Reine (pronounced Ray-nuh), is a gorgeous fishing village, now turned into tourist attraction. We stayed in some of those red huts on the right. I find it interesting that the tallest peak here is, as far as I can tell, unnamed. All the other peaks are named except for the main peak. Strange.

These photos are inspired by a painting I used to have hanging up in my old bedroom. I'm not entirely happy with how they turned out. The sun was too bright and gave them a nasty glare >_<

I was warming up my frosty car one morning before I went to my son's house... and thought the tree on the lawn looked so pretty and framed through the window... thankfully I always carry my small camera...

I did process this image, just to make it a little more artsy...

I'm not able to find enough time to follow my eyes! Everywhere I go I see something, but especially when is calm and relaxing like Maldives. The white sand itself gave me a lot of inspirational thoughts..

I really do not know for sure which one of these captures, that I present today to you, I love most !!! Because, all of them, represent one of my mostly loved spots in my beloved Château-land -- Château De La Hulpe. These captures are taken on a bright , sunny, November day. I was standing just a few meters away in each , while being always at the same spot….It is a magical , inspiring, and uplifting place, especially between mid October and mid November….

This is a part of my personal “Château secret path” of about 30’-45’ in my beloved Château Forest(s). Every time I arrive here, I stop, breathe deeply, look around in deep admiration and awe, listen to the sounds, and say….”thank You!!”(…and then, I start photo-shooting…). Right here, the path close to the first water-side stops, so I have to turn around the water-side, in order to follow the other side of my path, again close to the waters…Just like walking alongside a large, river-like pond, surrounded by a magical, colourful woodland…..

(*** It is really worthed, to experience these captures in LARGE, in case you have some time available…)

A macro view of a pair of incandescent light bulbs. The scene is a 3-image HDR composite.

"For the current of our spiritual life creeds, rituals and channels that may thwart or help, according to their fixity or openness. When a symbol or spiritual idea becomes rigidly elaborate in its construction, it supplants the idea which it should support.”

~Rabindranath Tagore

i just love that quote.

this is a weird manipulation.. not an intentional creation..just playing around and liked the textures.. the leaf mask was created from a texture that was supposed to be in the background..i just like the way it fell across my face..so i went with it.. much like the quote implies..to go with the flow..and not stay stuck in the "rules"

This was a great project. As most of you know, it is difficult not to be inspired by Charlie. I was so tickled to get to work with him. I can't wait to see what else we come up with.

is so hard to find

Thank you my friends for your inspiration:

Searching for inspiration...again! In mitigation can I just say it's been a long week and paradoxically an even longer day. Up at the crack of sparrows, shopping for my old mum both of which left me in no fit mood to throw a leg over the bike today.

Love is not about the beauty of the person, the positives that you gain from it, a person's beauty may fade but love stays beautiful forever. Its an inspiration to be selfless with a motive to be kind, trustworthy, think about things which are more important to your loved one.

The act of giving you, making you smile gives me more satisfaction than my own benefits. Loving you is not what i want to do rather its my need for me to be more human everyday as being with you makes me better. Time spent with you is devine moreover its my way of living, All I can say is thankyou for making me feel the way I do, I am blessed to be with you.

As you see, I am not the only seascape lover
