This little visitor settled on the window of my study. I took this pic from inside the room. Canon G11

I found this, what I thought was a digger wasp hanging about a wall in my garden. However, I have since been corrected by jel 1969 and bleu.geo with two different suggestions.. so I'll leave it as `Wasp' just now :) Tthank you for help with ID :)

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand

Darter dragonfly in the garden

Seen in Corrales, New Mexico, USA on a plant along a water ditch.

Haven't seen this one before- resting on variagated holly leaf

Calosoma scrutator. Apparently hunts caterpillars. This is one of the more colorful N. American beetles. It was moving pretty fast and I wanted to get a shot of the head and thorax, hence the bad angle.

Photo at McKinney Falls State Park, near Austin.

This poor guy's wing was a little ragged, but he certainly posed nicely!

The smaller blur of a spider on top is the male. Considerably smaller than his bride.

Crocothemis servilia mariannae

I rescued this libel from my house...It flew inside and couldn't get out anymore...

I couldn't get a detailed stack here. It flew away only 4 shots after.

Lady bug on a leaf

This guy is alive, in fact it is flying around me as I type trying to land and to drink some blood. The right wing is OK, the insect is just comfortable sitting in such a way. Shot handheld using a flash.

I don't know what bee this is....if you do let me know.....lol
