Known commonly as the eugenia caterpillar moth, natural range being the Indo-Australian tropics.
I noted the curiously upturned abdomen tip, lending this moth a unique lateral profile.
Larvae feed on Eugenia uniflora and Syzygium cumini (family Myrtaceae).

We saw several of these ridiculously cute and extremely tiny butterflies, about the size of my pinkie fingernail, squabbling over perching spots on a shrub in Costa Rica. They were all males from a butterfly family called metalmarks (Riodinidae), for the metallic spots on many species' wings. Males have reduced front legs and perch using only the rear 4, whereas females can use all 6. Sarota acantus; Costa Rica
A bumblebee captured in active flight, suspended against a softly painterly backdrop of warm garden florals. Shot using the Lensbaby Velvet 56, the image balances the tactile fuzzy texture and bright pollen baskets (corbiculae) of the bee with the signature velvety, dreamy bokeh that only vintage-style manual glass brings. A subtle sense of motion in the wings preserves the energy of the moment while keeping the fine details of nature front and centre.
