Members of the genus Pselliopus are small, common assassin bugs with distinct rings around their appendages and along the body. This nymph shows the typical orange color of the genus.

Ragweed Weevil - Sony A7S II, Nikon Micro-Nikkor 60mm f2.8 lens

Eine Clematisblüte mit Ameisen und Blattläusen. Die kugeligen hellbraunen Blattläuse sind parasitiert, d.h. von Schupfwespen angebohrt und mit einem Ei versehen. Danach blähen sich diese Blattläuse auf und mumifizieren, bis eine junge Schlupfwespe aus der Mumie schlüpft. So erledigt sich das Blattlausproblem auf natürlische Weise.
