In the Wyre Forest today, this attractive Eyed Ladybird (Anatis ocellata) had emerged from hibernation.
At last after 5 years I`ve finally found a Shropshire Wasp spider,only ever seen them in Dorset,quite a rarity
This is a 3 part series. The blue damselfly was happy on its perch when the orange damselfly came from behind and kept poking at it until it left. (The orange one has its mouth open...looks like he's yelling at him!)
on strands of plastic netting around the raised beds in our garden. North of Watsons Corners, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
Tachinid Fly feeding on a Maiden Veil or Stinkhorn fungi, Phallus indusiatus. As the fungi decays it smells like rotting meat so attracts a variety of insects that feed on it, and at its decaying peak it is such a huge insect magnet.
