Afternoon sunshine on the Ladybower Inn on the A57 close to Ladybower Reservoir in the Derbyshire Peak District. The wisteria in bloom adds colour but is in fact a "fake plant".
Kolumba
Alas there's no warm welcome here, no more friendly chat with the landlord, and the last pint was served long ago...

Fortunately we didn't stay at the Whale Inn in Depoe Bay. The day after I took this shot, we drove past again and saw a giant track hoe taking bites of it and loading the pieces into a truck.
Happy Window Wednesday!

"This is one of the finest Georgian Inn complexes remaining in Australia. Built in 1826 by John Williatt as the Patriot King William the Fourth Inn, this substantial brick building with its fine facade, rear service wings, outbuildings and courtyard is an essential element of the historic village of Evandale."

We have actually had a glimpse of this building before. I'll post a link to the side garden to remind you.
One more of the Wissahickon in December.
It's fairly dark because the sun doesn't make it down to the bottom of the valley very often, in December. But Solstice tomorrow, so Bring Back the Light!

The building is located at Steindlgasse 4, and has been a traditional landmark for several centuries. The first time the building was recorded in a written document was in 1406. The Bierklinik is the oldest still operated restaurant in Vienna.
Crazy Tuesday - Lights
This is our local pub, The Castle Inn, Little Wakering, Essex lit up for Christmas.
The Castle Inn is one of the oldest pubs in the area dating back to the 17th century and built in 1620. The cellar still has tunnels running to the church and the creek which were used by smugglers, to smuggle tea, silk & brandy, but have since been blocked in. The Inn is now known and loved for its traditional Ales, home cooked fresh food and family friendly atmosphere.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Crazy Tuesday friends and Admin a Very Happy Christmas 2021 and please keep safe !!

Mack's Inn, Island Park, Idaho is a mecca for rafting and kayaks. Not to mention a million dollar view of alpine forests and crystal clear rivers!
Located far deep into the enormous Misty Lake, only accessible by boat, surrounded by perpetual fog, murky vegetation and mysterious legends and tales, the Green Fish-Inn provides travellers and ocasional visitors a much needed place for resting and spent the night. The only thing you should be aware is the owner’s bad temper and unstable mood. Do you dare to spent the night?
It’s been a while since my last “castle” build. I wanted to build other things and so I did! But I felt the need to build castle again. However I decided not go crazy with technics or complexity. No angled walls or curved roofs this time! This was heavily based on one particular piece of the Art of Shaun Keenan: shaunkeenan.com
Thanks yet again to Markus for the great photoshop work on the main photo!
Hope you like it!
This place has a long history - where the coaches used to travel up the east coast in the 1800's. I have a strange connection to it .. but its a long story.
