Title: Ink man
Statement: This image is based on Antony Gormley’s work simply called ‘Body XIII’ the paper has been soaked in water and then had diluted ink brushed on to it; this gives the ink that dripping effect, I later decided to push it further and add colour which highlights certain areas well.
Size: A1
Media: Water, Black ink, Red acrylic paint.
Ink tablets, purchased some years ago at the state historical society. They never did say how much each tablet made, so I haven't got 'round to actually dissolving any of them to find out.
damn I miss my real monitor - can't really tell how this looks on old crap Dell gear - dull, lifeless piece of junk. Mental note - soccer balls and laptop screens don't mix...oh, and apple spare parts are way to expensive to be realistic...still, nice to get out and shoot on a rainy afternoon in the far south :)

One of those areas that has been done quite a few times now but is inevitable at some point in my drawing life time. The Phallic Maraca, is common place in most places these days, like yester year's mobile phone, to not have one is to not have anything so to bow down to the times here is my portrayal of one in modern society.
