MONSTER Ink Drawings! The second investigation in my ongoing comic-book experimentation, entitled MONSTERS! was drawn way back in 2002. These Rorsach type depictions of the collective unconscientious, were meant to describe a universal language derivitive of non-verbal communication, through a series of onerieric hylogryphic cartoons. Like all of my studies, I attempted to use innovative and progressive artistic processes in the development of these artworks. The MONSTERS were my first ambidextrous studies, and unlike the previous ink drawings, these creatures were drawn instantaneously in large quantities likened to a word association test. There are 13 drawing series catalogued as HEY APATHY! volume one, each exploring a new theme and approach revealing my bizzare and unique journey into the eye of the city.
On this one I worked with a very saturated and flowing ink. Definitely easier than watercolor to get this affect.
A poem/song written by my dad who was very good at this. I came across it when I was looking for a 'love' note for today's theme in the WAH group. I thought Kelly might like to see it.

Explanation: While experimenting with ink I found a way to use controlled splatters to create geometric patterns that reminded me of the snowflakes have geometric patterns. I then went into photoshop and created a neon border to accentuate the border that was created.
