This is a piece of original ink blot art (not a print). Made with India ink on watercolor paper in 8x10. Inspired by the Rorschach psychological test, this series was handmade by myself. Do you see what I see?
The SOUND OF THE CITY! Canadian Art & Ink Drawings. This 30' x 40" extensively detailed studio artwork took approximately 200 hours to complete. The illustration was made with various fine point technical and quill pens. The image represents an imaginary topographic map of the "City of Gears", with a detailed hallucinatory message hidden beneath the endless multitude of metropolitan vignettes. At least once a year I change my technical process in an attempt to extend my visual vocabulary, reinvent my artworks, and ultimately learn something new about myself and the world.
