An entry point. A beauty we hunger for. Here is contentment, Sabbath rest. Someone has called, said a word, and the eyes are alert, the mouth responding, the ear listening. A light shining on the cheek and the fabric, an envelope. We are in peace.

About "The Redeemer Project" - In November of 2017 I received an invitation from Bethany Kenyon of Redeemer University College in Ontario, Canada to participate in a two-person exhibition. My initial thought was to show a few paintings, but various considerations led me to the idea of making a series of small, postcard sized drawings. The drawings would be installed over the course of the exhibition one at a time, starting with just one. I invited my wife Sherrie to write a text for each drawing (see above) which I will post in relation to each drawing concurrently with when it (the drawing) is installed in the exhibition.

Just another quick shot today as i have loads on still. Wanted to create the illusion that i was melting for this but during the processing thought it looked good as just me emerging from a puddle of ink.

Didn't actually take any time at all to do as it was just a case of erasing portions of the image and adding reflections and playing with the colour. Now i have a taste of trying this out like a scene out of Terminator! Later guys! :)

My IKEA gate-leg table set up for inking comics. Loads of hovernote goodness.

Was honored when Drew Carson and his company Help Ink recently reached out to me and asked if I could make a print for them. Help Ink sells awesome art prints that tend to promote the positivity within all of us. I’m super honored to be a part of their recent collaboration with Fab.com and hoping we can sell as many prints as we can to help their charity. Forty percent of the profits go to a charitable cause of their choice. Other collaborators in this sale include the amazing Julia Rothman, Jessica Hische and Meg Hunt. All of our prints go on sale today at 7pm EST on Fab.com!

CHIRI UNRYU PAPER is very thin handmade Japanese paper. the dark pieces are in it are pieces of bark. It is a very thin paper, somewhat like tissue paper, yet stronger and stiffer. It does not fall apart when wet, but does require extra care especially when trying to draw or use pen and ink.

Here is a link about this paper....http://www.theearthpaper.net/chiri-paper.html
