my new friend i met at the beach this weekend. i think i could live the life of a beach cat .... ink made friends easily and made you feel welcome at his home by the sea.
On further urging of The Queen, my 1st experiments with ink & chopstick. I now have much more appreciation for her beautiful darks .... I think my chopstick needs to be broken in!
Ink smooshing is a really fun and easy technique and was a great way to create a background for these cute dolphins from the @ClearlyBesotted new Make A Splash set. 🐬

Number 2 is more in an Oriental style, following the techniques of the great contemporary artist, Gao Xingjian, whom I admire greatly.
Original is 8x11 inches.
brand spankin new tattoo i did on myself. it was really difficult to judge how the ink was going in being white, will probably have to touch this up once healed.

Still working off the work and travel fidgeties with another sketch-vent!!
I'm feeling better all the time.
A blue Derwent wc pencil and a pink Inktense pencil with some watercolor and Pentel Energel.
I heard this sentence from TV. I sit down and look at the garlic like never before. They are really funny when you seriously want to draw them. I almost felt like they are people wearing clothes, and I am the person who want to grab the body shape under the clothes.

She is considered to be a groundbreaking artist for the elevation of craft processes to fine art status, two communities which were previously mutually exclusive. Tawney was born and raised in an Irish-American family in Lorain, Ohio near Cleveland and later moved to Chicago to start her career. In the 1940s and 50s, she studied art at several different institutions and perfected her craft as a weaver. In 1957, she moved to New York where she maintained a highly successful career into the 1960's. In the 1970s Tawney focused increasingly on her spirituality, but continued to make work until her death.
