I picked this demonstration board up when I went to Denmark last year. I was told that it was not put together by Lego, but that Lego sent tires, sprues*, and info as educational components to teachers at a manufacturing school, which then assembled them as shown. These may be some of the best-preserved sprues from this era that we have seen — and, my favorite, actual materials info!
The labels are in Danish, but translate roughly to:
[3740, 24x43]
1-piece mould
Category: TIRE
Material: Foamed PLC (pale latex crepe rubber)
[3483, D.x8mm]
8-piece mould
Category: TIRE
Material: Soft PVC
Inlets: 2 tunnels per piece
[3634, 17x43]
1-piece mould
Category: TIRE
Material: Soft PVC
Inlets: 4 tunnels per piece
This one took some detective work, since the tire itself was missing when i bought the board. I looked through the tires that came out around this era, and decided it must be this one, but most of them have the mould pips around the outside… finally Baraklava pulled one for me from the right era and, yep, four pips on the inner ring, fit the sprue perfectly :)
[3641, D. x 6mm]
10-piece mould
Category: TIRE
Material: Soft PVC
Inlets: 1 tunnel per piece
*well, runners and gates, not sprues exactly :)

My wife and I have undergone IVF treatment (In vitro fertilisation). This is one of the daily challenges my wife had to go through - a real doze of powerful hormones. (Almost) all I could do was to shoot pictures...
i just wanted to complete my details set with the photos from the last night of injections. i did not count them all up, but basically with 2 ivf cycles, i have been having daily injections for 5-6 months. at 12 weeks, we got the OK to finally stop. i never thought i would be able to do it. and i really have tons more respect for diabetics and others on daily injections.

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a method of in vitro fertilization (IVF) that is used to treat infertile couples when standard IVF techniques are not likely to be successful. ICSI is the process of injecting a single sperm cell directly into the female oocyte to assist in fertilization, this normally occurs when the male has low sperm count or sperm motility is low and fertilization is unlikely to occur naturally. This illustration shows the oocyte (egg cell) being held at the end of a micropipette, the oocyte is surrounded by cumulus cells, which are a protective layer of cells that provide nutrients to the oocyte.
