Aerial construction of the Mississippi River Bridge project and the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge
First attempt at some night time long exposure shots of the transport infrastructure of Leeds. Having to learn quickly, but pleased with one or two shots. Unfortunately there are a lot of competing light sources around. The best shot was spoilt by lens flare.
You might care to view it miniscule on mauve.

In India, roads have come to occupy a dominant position in the transportation system of the country. Rural roads infrastructure is critical to socio-economic development. The total road network in India today stands at 3.4 million km of which 2.8 million km comprises low volume rural roads. This includes roads constructed and upgraded under the Government of India’s flagship Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) programme. Rural roads comprise over 80 per cent of the road network and their being kept in serviceable condition is crucial to the agricultural growth and livelihood of millions in rural areas including all weather connectivity to social facilities such as schools, health and market centres.

Historic U.S. Hwy 60/62 bridge over the Mississippi River between Cairo, Alexander County, Illinois and Mississippi County, Missouri. The bridge was built in 1929 by the Missouri Valley Bridge & Iron Co. and the American Bridge Company. The bridge operated as a toll bridge until 1954.
China abounds with these examples of 'quaint' infrastructure. This pre-loved loading contraption is to be found in a railway yard of the Beipiao coal mine system. The rare clear blue sky was an added bonus.

The Aerial Lift Bridge (earlier known as the Aerial Bridge or Aerial Ferry Bridge) is a major landmark in the port city of Duluth, Minnesota. The span is a vertical lift bridge, which is rather uncommon, but it began life as an extremely rare transporter bridge - the first of just two such bridges ever constructed in the United States. Originally built in 1905, the bridge was upgraded in 1929-30 to the current lifting design and continues to operate today. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 1973. A maritime museum maintained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers exists near the site of the bridge.
The bridge can be raised to its full height in about 3 minutes, and goes up 25 to 30 times daily during busy parts of the shipping season. The span is about 390 feet, or 120 meters. As ships pass, there is a customary horn-blowing sequence which is copied back. Long-short-long-short means to raise the bridge, and Long-short-short is a friendly salute.

Barmbek is an interchange station with very interesting track system and infrastructure. U-bahn train in the picture just reached the station from Kellinghusenstraße direction, viaduct in the background leads to Wandsbek-Gartenstadt. Track on the right is used by S-bahn trains.
