A quick shot at the Hervey Bay jetty before a day of driving and unpacking/packing. There were plenty of people fishing from the pier but I found the guy running a more interesting subject - clearly my running bias took over :-)

You know what they say, teach a man to fish and he'll catch his dinner. Teach a man to run and he'll run out to get some really great takeaway.

So I figured it out!

Op 14 juni 1986 vond de 'EM-2 / NS 1500 Farewell Tour' plaats, het stijlvol afscheid van de serie 1500. Het was een locomotieven-estafette vanuit Hoek van Holland via Rotterdam C.S., Utrecht, Boxtel, Nijmegen, Deventer, Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Uitgeest, Haarlem, Den Haag, de Hofpleinlijn en Rotterdam weer terug naar Hoek van Holland. Trein 37301 was de rit van Rotterdam C.S. naar Utrecht C.S., met loc 1505 'ARIADNE' als treinloc en loc 65 018 van de SSN als voorspanloc. Bij Rotterdam splitsing Kleiweg rijdt de trein langs de A20, net onder het viaduct van de Hofpleinlijn.

bnsf - remarkably this drawbridge facility is still in use (note the a/c's in windows). cool and gothic as this bridge is, it is in reality a rusted out piece of crap that probably should be replaced or maintained in some way..
