A replacement for the original Crossing on the Stairs due to this being the only Lensbaby shot taken in May (luckily, though I wish I'd explored further and got the sweet spot in the right place!). *Sigh*
Apologies to those who have already seen and commented on the other version.
Treasure Hunt Monthly Project 05: May Lensbaby Image
At his 90th birthday party, family friend Roy reads out his letter from Gary Cahill, the Captain of Chelsea FC. Roy has been a loyal fan all his life, and his eldest daughter arranged for this to happen.
I have known Roy all my life, since his family moved into our road the year before I was born.
The Good: I went for a lovely walk...
The Bad: ...because my e-mtb wouldn't work...
The Ugly: ...and picked up a lot of litter.
A mysterious figure emerges at the center of a swirling vortex, as if stepping through a wormhole into an uncharted reality. The shimmering golden currents resemble the fabric of spacetime itself, bending and distorting as parallel worlds collide. This vision of quantum travel and directed panspermia imagines a future where life extends beyond Earth, carried across galaxies through cosmic currents. A hopeful glimpse into the infinite possibilities of alien universes. Image by Duncan Rawlinson.
Up to Corby area for my friend's daughter's wedding.
Katie and Adam walk to the wedding car from the church.
So, I don't usually take photos of my feet, but they happened to be handy when I was working out rear curtain flash and setting up different power levels for two flashes. Hopefully might try some night mtb photography on Saturday if I can last a very long day!
My more normal idea for the POTD is in my photostream!
Setting the camera up on the kitchen worktop, not to self, if you're going to bother to set the tripod up, it's worth putting the 100-400mm lens on as well. The 100mm macro wasn't really up to the job!
For the camera club Challenge 2019 topic for May of "Bird on a Stick, Fence, Rope etc".
This rather prosaic pigeon describes one of my favourite films...
A pair of Rowan trees were given to me as a gift when I moved under the cliff, so I planted them in memorial to remembered love ones.
We went to Pulborough Colour Run, held as part of St Mary's School Summer Fair.
Spoke to the headteacher at the start, and she understandably wasn't happy with me keeping images of the children on my harddrive, so I have shared the ones with recogniseable children with the school via Dropbox. I've promised to delete any others with children in after a short period of time.
I've only shared ones with unrecogniseable children here, and have blurred any out that I feel are too close to being visible.
Here's a feel of the afternoon, which luckily stayed dry, although soon after we left there was heavy rain!
Dave and I went for a walk in Horsham to check out a possible CC photowalk.
This cat was so like our late Opal, but wouldn't wake up for us to get a full fix of fluffiness...
Instead, there was a slight squirm to curl up tighter!
I confess I did find this one online, and visited today while collecting borrowed print stands ready for the Regnum competition we are hosting next week.
Thought I'd avoided photographing any children, to fine one walked past! Have blurred her out.

A bike ride from Whiteways near Arundel. Several circuits of The Denture, arriving from the angled track, we went right several times, but the last time we were going left!
An enjoyable ride, finding one new section of singletrack to play on.
Treasure Hunt 62: Signpost
A lovely wander around Nymans with Liz, and this caught my eye for the FCB's 52 Week Challenge of Faces: Pareidolia.
Does a 'tree frog' count?!

The Guggenheim (officially the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum). Founded by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in 1937 as the Museum of Non-Objective Painting, it was renamed after it's founder's death in 1952.
The current building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) and built in 1959.
Went to a beer festival at the local micro-brewery. Within walking distance was a plus, but everyone seemed to be with groups of friends, so it was a rather unsociable affair. Walking home, we spotted some goats and their kids. This nanny goat was suspicious of us. Sadly the fencing prevented me from getting down further, but I thought she would be good for the Treasure Hunt topic of Ears. I might go back and try more of a portrait, but she wasn't feeing cooperative at the time.
Treasure Hunt 26: Ears.
Working on Complementary Colours for a camera club session, found a tutorial suggesting a banana on a purple plate, or change the colours. Couldn't resist that challenge, so here you have a banana on a white dish. Colour changes made in both LR and PS, but I preferred the LR version, so here it is...
Meet Billy, the mascot under the seat of one of two French cyclists who are bike-camping for about a week. They took the ferry from Dunkirk to Dover, and had already visited London, Cambridge and Oxford. We saw them at Peaslake, and lent one a pump as he'd had a puncture. They were neading from Brighton, then Canterbury before returning home.
The other had Bob under his saddle: see my photostream!
Spotted this last week when having new tyres fitted, but I'd already done my POTD, so had to go back.
Apparently it is a Jaguar, didn't bother to check! Needs a lot of work, an ongoing project...
Treasure Hunt 23: Covered Cars
The van's first trip out, and it gets filled up with Alex and Jade's old shed, and Oliver's grown-out-of clothes and toys. They're moving house soon, and no.2 is due in a month, so a bit of help with the move. At least we were able to help before the van's fit-out...
Meant to retake this on arriving home with a wide angle lens, but a catch up of Badminton Horse Trials made me forget. The best of 3 phone shots taken before leaving our son's.
I'd been racking my brains for one for the Treasure hunt Zodiac. The only thing I could thing of was Pandora, so I popped into the Horsham branch.
May have fibbed slightly that I was thinking of a Christmas present, and could I please take a photo?
Ta-daa, Zodiac ticked off at last!
I wish I could have found a Ford Zodiac, as it is the luxury version of the Zephyr I remember my Dad had in the 60's.
Treasure Hunt 75: Zodiac
A visit to Tangmere for the Chichester CC Spring Exhibition, then on to Tangmere Aviation Museum.
I realised there were numerous Roundels for the Treasure Hunt, so here are two on the fuselage and underwing of the Hawker Hunter.
