An interesting feature at the reception in my Optician's. You buy a small bottle of glasses cleaning fluid, and come in for free top-ups whenever you need! My glasses have no excuse to get so filthy now, and are much straighter than they've been for months!
Pebbles seemed to be mid-manicure, sadly not true, but probably needed...
This little set was given to me by my son's first girlfriend over 10 years ago I believe, and is still in almost daily use although she is long gone ;-
Managed to brave the wet weather to vote this morning, and got a photo of the queue, then in the evening went to Horsham Library for a session celebrating the end of the Horsham District Monthly Reading Challenge.
There were two authors present, William Shaw here is reading from the first book in a new crime series called Salt Lane.
The other author was Juliet West. I read her first book, Before the Fall, as my January challenge (read a book based on a real person or event).
Both were very happy to chat, and it was an enjoyable evening.
The challenge is moving to Mid Sussex next year, as it was so popular, with some changes of topic. I can strongly recommend it if you like reading, and need to get out of your comfort zone!
I have become a library user again thanks to this, which I spotted on Facebook in February. Libraries need all the support we can offer them.
And the Treasure Hunt is completed with this one!
As my flashguns weren't playing ball on Boxing Day, and torrential rain had stopped other forms of play, I dug out this 1500 piece jigsaw. I was trying to finish it before our son and his family arrived, but that looked unlikely. It had to be carefully moved to the back of the room to avoid 3 year old Oliver "helping". However, my DIL was a great help, as she loves jigsaws, and we finished it later in the evening.
Treasure Hunt 57: Puzzle.
Photos from leading a Photowalk for MyBrighton and Hove Photo Project. I realised that the participants would all know Brighton far better than me, so borrowed Ken Scott's workshop ideas for a photowalk. Thanks Ken!
It was bitterly cold out, but we managed to find some colour and shapes.
Two adjoining litter bins make it as my POTD.
So, I don't usually take photos of my feet, but they happened to be handy when I was working out rear curtain flash and setting up different power levels for two flashes. Hopefully might try some night mtb photography on Saturday if I can last a very long day!
My more normal idea for the POTD is in my photostream!
As the minute I can’t do much more than watch the world pass or sail by my window - fingers crossed I get a new hip soon
After yesterday's Macro Monday bottle caps, I ran out of time and enthusiasm, so a cork on my favourite chopping board it was today, and a quick lesson in Italian viticulture...
"Cavit (which stands for Cantina Viticoltori del Trentino) is a cooperative group that incorporates 10 cooperative wineries in Trentino and their 4500 associated winegrowers.
Today Cavit gathers, inspects and selects the raw material produced by the associated wineries, carrying out controls at every stage, from maturation through to bottling, with complete respect for the environment."

Sneaking a peek through between the mother and father (my brother) of the bride. The Rev Kev created a lovely atmosphere in the wedding of Sally to Jamie. Neither of them are from Devon, they just loved the venue.
A lovely sunny day up in London.
The Science Photographer of the Year (at the Science Museum) was fascinating.
From his beam of sunlight, Darwin looked a bit bemused at all the visitors to the Natural History Museum.

Three cameras with firmware updates done.
I did try for a timelapse in the old hay store, with little success, but you can take a look at frame 2 of 2112 in the sequence, and the 1 minute video created from 3 hours of timelapse sequence.
And so the year ends. My 6th full year of 365-ing, with a 7th failing after 2 months in 2016...
Another bike ride, this time at the QECP near Petersfield. The trails were lovely and dry, although there were lots of people around the woods doing the QECP Spring Half and full Marathons. Rather them than me: apparently around 2000' of climb, and that might have been only the half marathon distance!
The last time we rode here, I was crying with frustration on the rooty climbs of the red route on my manual bike. Today was a breeze on the e-mtb. So much so, that I abandoned Dave for a final blast on the blue at my own pace, just to see what I could do on Lance!
After the morning session of SxPF PDI Championships, I had time to do some food shopping at lunchtime.
This photobooth was just behind the till I was paying at, and the seat gradually glowed brighter, then faded to unlit, catching my eye.
I caught it at a bright moment here.
Out in the garden, and there were still droplets of water on the thistles. Not my finest, but, as Eiona says, Thistle Do!
Watching for Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth from the garden of land that was owned by Sir George Burns who formed the Cunard Line with Samuel Cunard and David Maciver. www.britannica.com/biography/Sir-Samuel-Cunard-1st-Baronet
I took so many images of the skies on Saturday and yet it was this one with the birds that captured my heart, they were soaring and calling to each other
In the pool with our son, his wife and the two grandchildren.
Oliver jumps in on Daddy, wearing his sharks fin buoyancy support.
A gorgeous warm pool for playing in, not so good for trying to swim lengths later in the week.
A trip up to London with Liz to see a couple of exhibitions. I'd been watching Breakfast TV on the BBC, and realised that the George Michael Collection was on show at Christies before the auction the same evening.
Some of the items were a little near the mark, but this was a Tracey Emin one, which sold for £347,250!
Treasure Hunt 49: Neon
A play with the Lensbaby on Lancing beach, trying to convey the backwash in a nightmarish way.
My way of a tribute to Keith Flint of The Prodigy.
I always say the 90's passed me by musically, but I always loved hearing this band. Never been to a festival or rave, but I have become quite taken with dance music as I've aged :-)

A quick trip to our son's, then on to Whiteley Shopping Centre to look for shoes for niece's wedding in February.
There were several groups of hare sculptures with scarves on. I enjoyed the way the little girl was looking over at them as they walked past, but have blurred her out more for anonymity.
Another day in London, this time with an early start for my annual heart check up. All was well, and I escaped to Postmans Park opposite St Barts Hospital for my lunch.
There was a whole wall of tiled panels as tributes for people who lost their lives saving others.
The day ended with chairing a Print Walk at Storrington CC (idea stolen shamelessly from Bognor CC).
A sub-committee meeting then coffee club at the Weald and Downland Living Museum's Waterside Cafe.
A couple fo shots of the roof in case I didn't get around to any more photography. The Lamp saved the day, as I'm not entirely sure what happened to the rest of it!
