Holly, this is so AMAZING! Thank you very much. I treasure it, such a beautiful gift, with many, many wondrous elements!
William I of Altavilla is sick but leaves his tent, placed above a hill and launches into the fray. According to the reporter Guglielmo di Puglia, the knights Normans sbaragliano the Byzantine forces and the troops that come from Calabria, from Sicily and from Macedonia and a group of mercenaries Pauliciani. According to the historian De Blosiis, hero of the battle is Gualtiero, son of Count Friend. The Byzantines are driven by Norman troops that are successful and, therefore, the city passed under the dominion of Norman. The Normans capture Augusto Bugiano, transfer it to Melfi together with the insignia Byzantine and then to Benevento the Deliver To Atenolfo.

S’incontrano passanti d’ogni genere.

This evening we had a spectacular sunset near Regensburg. I had to hurry, so I had no tripod with me for this shot.
I had an incredible day up with Aspiring Helicopters right before my trip to the USA. We first went up to an amazing cabin way up in the mountains for a wine and cheese party, then we took off again to circle around this mountain at sunset. It was like a dream! I put on my earphones underneath my heli-big-boy-earphones and listened to all kinds of strange music as we flew around. It was very dreamy!

On the evenings of September 2 and 3, Southern California experienced some spectacular sunsets. I have seen several of them on flicker already and I would like to link them together in some way for all to enjoy. The above is one of my best from those evenings.

A healthy coral reef is a joy to see--not only for the fish, squid, conch and other molluscs, but also for the range of colors seen where hard corals, soft corals, algae, tube and encrusting sponges compete for space. In depths of greater than 20 feet, the water filters out the longer wavelengths (red, orange, yellow) but they are revealed if one turns on a dive light, as here. You can see in the distance a paucity of color--a light only covers several feet underwater.

The City of Vancouver is gorgeous on a clear night with blue sky. This is Vancouver's Science World which is located in False Creek. The red building on the far left is Rogers Arena.
I was inspired to take this shot through the amazing work of Vancouver photographer Chris Collacott. He has a very similar image that looks stunning.
This is an eight shot panorama merged into one gigantic image. I am sure this could be printed the size of a billboard with super sharp clarity and resolution.
