Ecovolis program has proven successful in dramatically increasing bicycle use in Tirana, which, formerly, was a city without a developed bicycle culture. Ecovolis program is the first project in Albania that provides low-income adults with commuter bicycles as well as a donating program for children bicycles. The program recently completed two major steps, opening new bike stations in the city of Durrës and integrating Tourist Information Point Service to the bicycles stations' structure.
History
The Tirana Community Bicycle Albania project won financial support from the George Soros Open Society Foundation Albania (OSFA). An even larger contribution came from the US-based Pedal for Progress organization, which donated 450 bicycles. Sixty of these were used road bikes, which were modified and painted by local technicians to serve as public bikes in the Ecovolis scheme. Another portion was set aside to donate to children and to activists and volunteers at PASS. Still another portion were diverted to the project's Eco Bicycle Shop, a social enterprise which sells bikes for USD 50-150 and reinvests profits for the service and maintenance of Ecovolis bicycles. The main objective of the program was to introduce the community to an inexpensive, environmental friendly form of transport -- the bicycle; to sell used bikes at low prices; to donate bikes to the children of needy families and to PASS volunteers; to establish a bike sharing-scheme in the city (Ecovolis); and to employ financially disadvantaged people and young students to operate the bike-sharing scheme.
Given the increase in demand for healthy diets and OFSP, the CGIAR Research Program on Roots, Tubers and Bananas (RTB) provided the International Potato Center (CIP) with a scaling grant to accelerate the use of OFSP puree in baked and fried products in Kenya, Malawi and Uganda. The project launch for Kenya was held on 31st May, 2019 at ILRI Campus in Nairobi.

Bolivia is already suffering the impacts of climate change with increasing drought, melting glaciers and flooding. Bolivia´s main social movements participated in the UNFCCC talks in Cancún demanding developed countries - who are historically responsible for climate change - reduce their emissions of greenhouse gases and transfer finance and technology to developing countries to support them to develop in harmony with Mother Earth.

Madam Humaira Hashmi ( Director Operations NCHD Sindh ) provided detailed presentation about NCHD Programs i.e. UPE, Literacy, BBSYDP Projects and also about MALALA and OWN School initiatives. It also includes the detailed briefing of NCHD’s national and provincial achievements. The achievements and efforts were widely appreciated by the Participants.
Dr. Iqbal Muhammad Choudry Director HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry Karachi University highlighted the importance of education and appreciated the role of NCHD in bridging the gap between strategy formulation and strategy execution to enhance Literacy rate and Universal Primary Education (UPE) with a view to fulfilling Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). He further ensured his volunteer support in teachers’ training and development for the provision of intellectual volunteers for the training of teachers all across the board. He further said that socio-economic development of Brazil, South Korea and Malaysia is largely attributed to effective education systems. In addition to that he urged government to increase budget allocation for the education sector.
Anees Ur Rehman Chairman Fund Raising Committee Rotery Club explained the role of private sector for enhancement of education. He said that Rotery club is already working for improvements in education. He affirmed his support to NCHD and also ensured that they would also undertake filed visits in collaboration with NCHD aiming at enhancement of School initiatives.
Pervaiz Lodhie Member PHDF provided detailed information regarding background of PHDF its working style and the current role. He also explained the collaboration of PHDF with NCHD & Govt of Pakistan. He also conducted interactive session with the participants about the models of UPE and Literacy. He also discussed about the use of technology to improve the education and teacher’s training.
All DGMs shared the achievements of their respective districts in the UPE and Literacy and also provided feedback to further improve the execution of strategies at the district level.
Prevez Lodhi sb appreciated the work, efforts and achievement of NCHD and focused on proper showcasing of NCHD work to share with the national and international donor community to attract them to support education through NCHD. He suggested all DGMs of NCHD to share success story reports & documentaries of schools/ literacy centers on social groups.
He further shared that his meeting with Baligh ur Rehman (Minister for Professional Education and Technical Training) has been fixed in which he will discuss about NCHD.
Cattle Breed Improvement
In Matabeleland North of Zimbabwe where Mrs Mphala survives with her husband and 2 grandchildren, livestock is the main source of economic activity. The breed of cattle predominantly found in that area is however smaller in frame, achieving low weight and fetching less prices on the market compared to the larger breeds. Through the project, Mrs Mphala is one of the beneficiaries that received a subsidy to purchase a Brahman pedigree bull that she has begun breeding with her cows in the hope of improving her breed. In addition to the subsidy the Mphla household also received training on animal husbandry and health and nutrition for the bull.
Heeding President Barack Obama’s call for increased volunteerism, the New Castle County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. sponsored “Operation Biscuit Brigade” on this President’s Day. Children ranging in ages 2-18 baked biscuits for the homeless at the Sunday Breakfast Mission, located at 110 North Poplar Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
Their goal was to show their children that volunteering to help others is not only rewarding, it can be fun. They planned on baking 500 biscuits!

The Pakistan Strategy Support Program (PSSP) held the conference, “Increasing Productivity and Unleashing Growth” at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad on May 26-27th, 2012. This conference also marked the final round of the Competitive Grants Program that was launched by PSSP in January 2012 for Pakistani PhD and graduate students studying locally and abroad on economic development issues of Pakistan. The finalists presented in front of the Research Advisory Committee, donor heads, professors and students from local universities. The event also consisted of plenary sessions on Pakistan’s various economic growth issues by renowned academics from all over the world, such as Dr. Jock Anderson, Dr. Regina Birner and Dr. David Spielman.

The ‘Making a living from Livestock’ project has been supporting an initiative on infant and young child feeding by diversifying household diets including locally available small livestock and livestock products. Through the project, Village Health Workers such as Portia Ncube have received training on infant nutritional health, diets and weight monitoring that her and her group are passing on to members of the community.

Workers rallied and marched through the streets of Boston to demand that minimum wage be increased to $15. Two bills pending on Beacon Hill would raise wages to $15 an hour for about 1,500 service employees at Logan Airport and over 200,000 workers at fast food and "big box" retail chain outlets across the state. Low-wage employees including airport workers, adjunct professors and home care workers turned out to show their solidarity with fast-food workers. The "Fight for $15" campaign is being backed by the Service Employees International Union and began in late 2012, with striking fast-food workers in New York City. Since then, the growing demonstrations have helped make hourly pay a major political issue. Organizers said strikes and protests were planned for cities including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami.

As we've said before, the brain does not operate at one brainwave frequency at any given time.
By using an EEG unit to detect the minute electrical signals the brain generates, we can witness the effect of an environment or stimulus on the brain itself.

This brainwave sample was taken right after the subject's brain was exposed to high pressure problem solving. During this test the subject was visibly agitated and inefficient.
Notice the high peaks (amplitude) of the brainwaves, in the 3D rendering above left. Also, take notice of the accompanying high BETA brainwaves in the overhead peak indicator view, above right.
After 5 Minutes
This next image shows the same individual experiencing the first 5 minutes of BrainEv usage. Notice the significant decrease of amplitude in the brainwaves. During this period, the user reported feelings of refreshment and focus.
After 12 Minutes
A mere 12 minutes into the program and the listener descends toward low Alpha and Theta frequencies. During this period the user reported feelings of deep tranquillity and full body relaxation.
After 15 Minutes
The next EEG reading shows brainwaves 15 minutes into the program. You can see significant evidence of brainwave entrainment, as the brainwaves reach a consistent average of low Alpha and Theta frequencies.

I am really happy with the colourway so far, but I am not sure if I am going to attempt to match the stripes or not. Amidst increased geopolitical tensions, there has been growing concern that terrorist groups, lone wolves or rogue nations might use biological weapons, or any type of CBRN weapon. International reports and studies provide good reason to believe that threats from a deliberate use of CBRN weapons are no longer inconceivable: international counter-terrorism experts consider a possible CBRN weapon attack possible.
Countries in Europe are gradually raising their level of preparedness for the possible event of a CBRN incident that could become a national security problem. The European Commission released in October 2017 its Action Plan to enhance preparedness against CBRN security risks as part of its comprehensive anti-terrorism package.
Sufficient and timely preparedness are essential and should be considered a high priority for the European Union. Europe can improve its coordination and learn best practices from international organisations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and past experiences in the United States of America.
This seminar provides a platform for a timely discussion and opportunity to exchange views between MEPs, European and international experts and relevant stakeholders, with the aim of taking further European political actions and raise awareness inside the EU institutions and beyond. And hopefully it can work out a satisfactory answer to the main question: is Europe sufficiently prepared?

The first thing to actually consider is your images. Putting up every single thing you shoot is not necessary. Being selective is more advantageous.
