DragonCon: was it all a dream?

"Imagination" set collection

7th and Spring in downtown L.A. was the location of the dream train scene in the 2010 movie "Inception" (top).

Esta semana entendí que la pieza más importante de mi futuro me la entrego mi madre cuando aún era muy pequeño… Ahora no tengo palabras para agradecérselo…

So I saw Inception yesterday with my friend Lauren and it was amazing. So confusing yet everything made perfect sense. The visuals were amazing along with the conceptional aspect too.

Note: Please notice the wire in my arm, lol

The Dream is Real

I know he's not really part of the "team," but even for a mark, Robert Fischer had a lot of depth to him. (Remember that hospital/dream scene? So moving. You go Cillian Murphy, you go.) So this is his "totem" although I'm pretty sure it doesn't count.

Made in photoshop, all four levels of the pinwheel are based on the color scheme of all four levels of the dream.

I realized that this layout is more semetrical and makes better use of space.

It's technically better than the other version, but I can't figure out if I like it more or less.

I like the tagline being near the bottom of the poster because it is actually asking you to remember a journey that you may have not been consciously aware that you were taking from the top of the poster to the bottom (which mirrors the journey the characters take into their minds).

But this layout didn't have space to fit Cobb and Ariadne wandering around Limbo, which I miss. I like to imagine being lost with them in the narrative of the poster.

A souvenir from Greece. A wooden owl....with a smaller owl carved within! I wish you could see it! It's perfect. I can't see any seams...so they must have stuck tiny tools in those holes to carve it. What do you think?? I had to buy it :-D

I also made something to use in this photo and for other things. I found a perfect cube cardboard box. Cut a square out of each side and taped tracing paper over the holes. A homemade softbox! It's great for table top photography. I was forever holding tracing paper in front of the lamp to make the light less harsh.

Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu has been used as a backdrop for several films.

The Leo Carrillo Beach shows up in a few scenes of the 2010 movie "Inception" (top).

I didn't capture the exact perspective as the movie's screen grab because I was one cove away.

Leo Carrillo State Park is located at 35000 West Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu.

A Lego MOC, miniature based on a movie by Christopher Nolan, Inception (2010). MOC was made for LDD 213 Bricks Contest.

I've built here the final job of the movie- different levels of a one big dream. Here're a plane where the job starts, a van falling from the bridge, episodes on the floors and vertical communications of a hotel, snow mountain hospital & the deepest unlimited phase of a dream with the city built before all that.

The contest's task was to build whatever you want using no more than 213 pieces. Finally, it consists of the maximum limit- 213 bricks :) Based on two plates 16x22 totally

A bent book shelf inspired by Aydın Büyüktaş' great works.

I do not have a camera drone so I can't move upward to take the similar scenes. Instead, I made the idea horizontally.

I used only four frames in this case, but it is found very difficult to make a consistent picture by stitching them because automatic stitching tool (such as hugin) is useless. I assume Aydin stitched many frames from a video taken by a drone to make his great works. It is really an awesome task.

Interestingly, zoom lens is not necessary to take this image.

this is a fall back for Round 5 of Hangout's Next Top Model Season 4.

I saw Inception this past Sunday, BEST MOVIE EVER. And I also learned they're planning on making Perks of Being a Wallflower a movie. I am iffy about that even though the cute Logan Lerman is rumored to play Charlie. He better be how I pictured Charlie.

Back to this though. It was a quick game throw together. I was making Mateo originally for this round, I have 500 billion Mateo's saved in my Sim Bin for each round.

I am about to go in-game and recreate the kissing scene between Arthur and Ariadne. One of my favorite parts<3
