The Inca Trail is the most popular trek in the Andes and most famous in the world. What makes it so special is its richness and diversity - Inka sites, unforgettable views, snowy mountains and junglecloud forests where the exotic vegetation includes one hundred varieties of Orchids. MACHU PICCHU itself cannot be fully understood without the experience of the Inca Trail . Huinay Huayna (Quechua for "forever young", alternatively typed Wiñay Wayna) is an Inca ruin along the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. It is built into a hillside overlooking the Urubamba River. The site consists of upper and lower house complexes connected by a staircase and fountain structures. Beside the houses lies an area of agricultural terraces.
