In Ice
"Sleeping Beauty" (French: La Belle au bois dormant), or "Little Briar Rose" (German: Dornröschen), also titled in English as "The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods", is a classic fairy tale about a princess who is cursed to sleep for a hundred years by an evil fairy, to be awakened by a handsome prince at the end .
The good fairy, realizing that the princess would be frightened if alone when she awakens, uses her wand to put every living person and animal in the palace asleep, to awaken when the princess does. The fairy also summons a forest of trees, brambles and thorns that spring up around the castle, shielding it from the outside world and preventing anyone from disturbing the Princess.
I took advantage of some bright natural light and shot this outside. I know I'm not the only one doing 💕 I mean it was just Valentine's day
For the Group Macro Mondays, the theme was "Frozen in Ice"... it was supposed to be something you purposely froze in ice.
So, after several different attempts, I came up with this cat's eye marble, frozen in ice.
The colors in the ice come from a warm light on one side and a cool light on the other side.... colors enhanced. A light was also behind the ice.
Then I ran it through Topaz Glow, to come up with the strange detailed effect.
HMM everyone!
... is also a term for a 'black hole', which is defined as follows:
1. A massive star in the last phase of its evolution, in which the star collapses, creating a volume of spacetime with a gravitational field so intense that its escape velocity equals or exceeds that of light.
2. A great void; an abyss:
And all of that in an ice cube! I used little confetti size stars for this, in the shot some are still encased in ice, it got more interesting as the ice was melting. The rainbow effect wasn't really visible to the eye, but a nice surprise when I saw it.

😄Thanks for views,faves and comments😄
sounds like it should be something fancier than a slice of lime frozen in ice for Macro Mondays. HMM
The Macro Mondays theme for this week is "InIce" Photo is a flashlight bulb frozen in a ice cube. Camera in manual mode with white balance selected for fluorescent that resulted in yellow glow. No problem making ice where I live as the high temperature the day this was shot was 3 deg Fahrenheit.
Shells and colorful pebbles I found on the beach frozen in an ice cube tray. The cubes are under 2 inches square.
Shot for Macro Monday’s June 16 theme of In Ice.
Got the glass, got the ice cube, got the olive on a stick... just add the beverage of your choosing.

leaf is from a poinsettia plant. (A modified leaf, which forms part of the flower rather than just foliage. Known botanically as a bract. )

Photo is in response to Flickr group Macro Mondays with the challenge to include an object in ice. I selected an Australian $2 coin. The ice block split in half when I ejected it from the ice block maker, but this shot gives some idea of my intention.
I have chosen the name "Frozen Asset" as being appropriate.
Ice
When I create a photographic image I always look for a deeper meaning. This week the theme is ice so freeze, the desire of a multitude has always been to stop time "Freeze time"

SHOULD FRESH FISH BE CHILLED OR FROZEN?
Fresh fish - regardless of its goodness and authenticity - is vulnerable to attack by parasites, the most common of which is Anisakis. These can pose a health risk to consumers if the fish is eaten raw, marinated or partially cooked. Conversely, both cooking and freezing are able to kill parasites and thus ensure the safety of fish products against this risk.
The European legislator, in order to better protect the health of consumers, has imposed on food sector operators to subject all fishery products intended to be eaten raw, or not completely cooked, to heat abatement.
Fresh fish and cephalopods (e.g. cuttlefish, squid, octopus, squid) must be subjected to systematic killing also by restaurateurs or other public operators, only in the case in which they are served raw or marinated or partially cooked.

I had grand plans for this week's Macro Mondays challenge, "in ice" but alas "“The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft a-gley.” (go awry) -- Robert Burns. Turns out I need to learn lots more about making ice that is more clear. This poor Stegosaurus just doesn't look like he is melting out of an ice sheet as intended. Oh well perhaps another time...
Happy Macro Monday!
