Macro Monday - In Ice
Anything goes for 2021 - Water - i'm being cheeky here and using frozen water
This is a small artificial rose frozen in an ice cube tray. I froze a few things but this is the one that I liked best or at least the one that I felt was my style. HMM
Macro Mondays
Theme:Frozen In Ice
Size: Less than 3x3 inches
The subject is a portion of a fish's backbone. The fish is a Leather Jacket which we ate for dinner last night. Here the ice on the right has started to melt from the heat generated by the back lighting. The other light source is a small LED torch at 9 o'clock.
Best view enlarged.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always appreciated...

Happy Macro Monday!
Thanks for all your faves and comments everyone!
I really appreciate them!
The power of ice over the ages moves mountains, carves stone, and created canyons, to the power of ice......cheers 😉
Background just filled a round cover for 50 CDs with water put in the stone, set on back patio, three hours later brought in and wiped off an inch of snow and snapped this 2-1/2 inch close up frame.
A small Chilean ornament made with white marble and lapis lazuli, here inside the ice.
It has less than two inches in size.
For: #Macro Mondays Group
Theme: #In Ice
i found this to be one of the most difficult challenges I've ever done in Macro Mondays.
HMM!
Macro Mondays: In Ice
#Macro #MacroMondays #InIce
For Macro Mondays this week the theme is: 'frozen in ice'. I have used a tiny silicon jellyfish for this. Happy Macro Monday/ HMM
The ice was starting to melt in the warm house.
Thanks to this challenge I now know how to make clear ice cubes.

Macro Monday theme "In Ice". Interesting things happen when a flower submerged in water is frozen. A fun project!
Macro Mondays: Redux 2021 ("Tradition" and "In Ice")
This finy porcelain fish is a Kings' Day "fève", part of a collection from a few years ago.
Merry Christmas to all, and thank you for a fun year of macro photography.
The macro monday’s theme for today, 2/15, is frozen in an ice cube, InIce. These turned out better than I had the right to expect considering the complexity needed to create crystal clear cubes. Mine didn’t pass muster for that criteria but I liked the results nonetheless. I think there may be 8 I like.... thank goodness for Barbie accessory props... this is an eraser and is 2cm at its biggest dimension

Had great fun making and photographing this members choice "in ice" subject .
This is just a chocolate in ice ...
HMM folks stay safe!!!
I tried quiet a few different subjects but eventually came back to my tried and tested watch parts. I was lucky how this set froze, quiet randomly the second hand lined up with the watch face, and the cogs were close to the surface of the ice. Originally I’d used ice cube trays to freeze objects but I ended up freezing them in a jar then cracking the ice into chunks with a knife.
To take the shot I placed the ice onto a stacked shot glass on top of a Pyrex lid on top of an LED light (with various other lights to pick out the detail).
Loving the variety in the group pool so far, makes me smile to think what’s been on ice in peoples freezers worldwide this week!
