!☺☺ Happy Summer Holidays Season Greetings ☺☺!

My 2nd attempt on flowers. I have been studying other flower photographers' stream in search of technics and inspiration for my own flower photo taking. Got the inspiration but couldn't find any decent flowers to try it on. Finally found a tiny chrysanthemum to try on. Still got a lot to learn and improve. What do you think?

We got to this waterfall too late and as you can see, it was already dark, and extremely COLD. Well I wanted to try and get at least one picture of it, but I didn’t have a tripod or anything. So this picture was taken long exposure with very cold hands lol, hence the lack of sharpness. Even so, I’ve always liked the way the picture came out.

There are over 90 red and 120 fallow deer at Wollaton Hall and Deer Park. Since the fourteenth century, herds of deer have roamed Wollaton’s 500 acres of parkland.

The fly agaric is an attractive, vibrantly coloured toadstool, which is familiar and instantly recognisable (3). It has a bright red cap, which fades to an orange or orange-yellowish colour with age. The fluffy white spots on the cap often take on a yellowish tinge as they grow old, and may occasionally be washed away by rain (4). The stem has a bulbous base, and tapers towards the cap (3). This fungus is dangerously poisonous and should NEVER be tasted (2). The name fly agaric derives from the fact that since medieval times it was commonly used as a fly killer, broken up ...

Shot this last Thursday whist on the A59 in Yorkshire. I'd kept my eye on the weather etc and was hoping for some snowy photography...

I wasn't disappointed.

This 327 foot monolith is known by two names, Haystack Rock and Chief Kiawanda Rock, but its similarity to another Haystack Rock up the coast at Cannon Beach makes it a neat place to stop and see. It actually mirrors its smaller 237 foot namesake 60 miles away, but they appear the same size due to its location farther out in the ocean. Cape Kiwanda Natural Area is a good place from which to view it. (Sand Lake State Park area 297.jpg)

Acraea terpsicore, the tawny coster,[1] is a small, 53–64 millimetres (2.1–2.5 in), leathery, winged butterfly which is common in grassland and scrub habitats. It belongs to the Nymphalidae or brush-footed butterfly family. It has a weak fluttery flight. It is avoided by most insect predators. This species and the yellow coster (Acraea issoria) are the only two Indian representatives of the predominantly African tribe Acraeini.[2] It is found in India, Sri Lanka to Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.[
