...playing catch up, or so it seems at the moment!
Contribution to the Macro Mondays challenge for 11/2/18: "in a bottle". Or, more accurately in this case, coming out of a bottle.
And as I also missed the monochrome challenge last week this is a double whammy!!!
This involved washing up liquid, water(!), blue food colouring, blue felt and 2 SB200 flash units with blue gels!!

Macro Mondays. In a Bottle
For my photo today I used 3 small glass bottles. The smallest is less than 2" and the largest is just under 3". I shot down on the bottles to stay within the 3" rule. The tiny flowers are from my crab apple tree which is blooming right now.. I found the little bottles last May at a flea market and have been waiting to use them for MM! Since the glass was such beautiful colors I sat them on my light box.

macro mondays theme: "in a bottle"
gold leaf is sometimes used to decorate food or drink, typically to promote a perception of luxury and high value. here you see a small bottle with gold leaves in sparkling wine (in german called "pikkolo").

Macro Mondays theme: In a Bottle
Getting nowhere with a number of meh bottle pictures, I glanced at the water bottle sitting next to me and imagined an origami boat floating in it. I managed to fold a tiny one and drop it into the bottle. Controlling it was another story and ultimately the boat got waterlogged and succumbed to the deep. I decided to go with the more abstract shot but another is included below.

This small bottle was given to me as a sample oil bottle. It did contain truffle oil which was wonderful. Now it houses some gold beads which I can't get myself to throw out - you just never know what you might need them for....
1 of 3 - for today's #MacroMondays theme #inabottle I took a little bottle, layered cotton on the ground and placed this tiny golden heart on it. The heart is about 1cm in size. Because of the outside light it seems that there are many rings and layers in the glass.
May love in a bottle strike you!

MSH April 2023: Something Shiny
Below is a picture of my... *sigh* assistant demonstrating the size of the bottle, before capturing it and running with it to his den. Well, to his box full of shredded paper. The suspect was caught red-pawed and the crime was captured on camera. Luckily, the prey... I mean, the bottle is safe and now hidden.
