40 green straws stuffed into a clear glass soda bottle, side lit and shot from the top looking down with Tokina 100mm macro lens. Image 7324
When I focused on the bottle opening and went with wider aperture, the straws melted into a green alien bokeh that was also nice.
Macro Mondays. In a Bottle
For my photo today I used 3 small glass bottles. The smallest is less than 2" and the largest is just under 3". I shot down on the bottles to stay within the 3" rule. The tiny flowers are from my crab apple tree which is blooming right now.. I found the little bottles last May at a flea market and have been waiting to use them for MM! Since the glass was such beautiful colors I sat them on my light box.
Macro Mondays theme is “In a Bottle”......The answer clearly is a Lemon, but How did it get there ??

Macro Monday - In a bottle
Whilst looking in my craft room for something to put in this tiny bottle, I found this tiny string of Pearls and the title came to me so I had to use them. I then searched for some scrapbooking paper with music on. HMM

Capers, often used as a seasoning, and the fruit (caper berries), are both usually consumed pickled. Other parts of Capparis plants are used in the manufacture of medicines and cosmetics.
It is present in almost all the circum-Mediterranean countries, and is included in the flora of most of them, but whether it is indigenous to this region is uncertain.
The buds, when ready to pick, are a dark olive green.
Being flower buds, capers are, in fact, very low in calories; provide just 23 calories per 100 g. Nonetheless, this spice contains many phytonutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins essential for optimum health.
