I've been dreaming of knitting a Gothlet/Elfin Bride pretty much since the book came out. This is a pretty strangely shaped piece, and it's going to get even stranger from here...I can't wait!
Also note that the color is much closer to being accurate here than it was in the photo I took of just the balls of yarn.
Due to events and weather I am stuck inside so I did a self portrait photo session yesterday. Here are the results.

This Series is made possible thru a generous anonymous grant honoring Cesar L. Alvarez.

This is a page from the Adventure in Manhood booklet you receive when you go on an Adventure in Manhood-sponsored camping trip.
I DID NOT GO ON THIS TRIP BUT I KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS.
What this page says: If you didn't feel ashamed already because of your Same-Sex Attraction, you should feel ashamed now.
One of the funniest excerpts from this booklet (of which I didn't take a picture) is the rules page: Participants are not allowed to masturbate on the trip.
This was from another photo shoot of Jo playing with fire. We decided to go around campus and take some shots and the various buildings (until security politely told us to go away!). This building was XFI (Exeter Finance) and the photo was taken while I followed Jo over to the building.
The idea here was to get a motion shot while maintaining as much clarity on the subject as possible.

Built in 1878 with the designs of Midwestern architect John C. Cochrane, the old Lake County Courthouse has been converted into a mall in the center square of Crown Point. It is similar to Cochrane's courthouse in Saline County, Missouri.
In 1909 and 1928 additions were made to it on the north and south sides. In 1973 the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

This year’s 12 Asia Foundation Development Fellows traveled to Singapore and Nepal in March, and in the United States in September where they participated in forums and met with local thought leaders. The program, now in its second year, recognizes and empowers a dynamic community of rising young Asian leaders in their pursuit of creative solutions to the region’s most critical development challenges.
Valentine, the Nubian goat, was put in a pen by herself yesterday. This will be the "first delivery" for this young lady. Valentine was the only goat last year to not get pregnant and I was very glad.
Val had a very difficult time when she was born back on February 12, 2005. She was born in a little barn to her Mama, Clarice, on a very very cold winter day. She was not discovered until approximately 5-6 hours later.......standing shivering in one side of the barn alone. Her Mama did not like her or know what to do.
Valentine almost died that night. Her head hung sideways and her tongue hung out like a dead deer. A quick dash to an all night open Walmart...a good distance away....to buy some Karo syrup, Gerber baby bottles and Gerber nipples and a lot of praying saved Val. It truly was touch and go for the first couple of days.
She has grown into a very strong and quite beautiful goat. Her first year or so she would pick up every little thing going around. She had pink eye a few times.....a trip to the vet for medicine. She had diarrhea quite a few times....another trip to the vet for Albon and Corrid liquid medicine.. measured and down her throat. A skin irritation.....shots, just in case, for infection....then back home from the vet. The vet staff soon knew her by name....or called her the cute little goat with the "skunk behind"...
Now Valentine is about to become a Mother herself. I have feared this day forever. I just want it to be done and over with and all having gone well. As of tonight.....still no baby....but her udders were so much fuller tonight than yesterday.
The guys think she will be the next to deliver......I don't know. Her "Aunt Bambi" sure is HUGE......
I guess we'll just have to wait and see and pray all goes well.
