Hugo is a tourist attraction in his own right. He attracts attention with the overseas tourists and many have taken photographs of him which is quite amusing. #hugoandtourists

mamashara: That's because he's the funkiest dresser in all New Zealand 😉

instagram.com/dee.rolston: How could anyone not take his picture - look at him! 😍😍

larapsimpson: I remember as a kid a bus load of Korean and Japanese tourists being fascinated with my hair (I was white blonde as a kid) and following me around Paradise Valley taking my picture and stroking my hair. One even wanted a clipping for good luck 😱 he is such a beautiful little guy it's no wonder they're tickled by him!

Sue, it was so nice to meet you! Thanks for dropping in and giving us the chance to meet you in person. With all you do, I don't know how you made time. lol Your cupcakes are a work of culinary art and it will not be long before the rest are missing. Thank you!

In Potosi Bolivia you can get a tour of a working mine that has no safety regulations at all! No company owns the mine just miners who have stakes in different parts. This means no one is responsible for safety or controlling who enters the mine, allowing for silly tourists like me to visit and give them a few basic gifts (with a guide).

It was a hot 35C from the natural heating and pretty strong odor/dust.

Here they are loading a basic cart full of rock they will push/pull to a pulley a few hundred meters away. It is horribly difficult and dangerous work. Enjoy your zinc and silver!

We were in a boatride at Westlake. It was a hazy day. Humid with a scorching sun behind thick clouds. Hot without obvious traces I guess. Ceres started to doze. The beautiful lake seems no interest to her if she's sleepy.

LUKE IN THE BOWYER BIBLE. Robert Bowyer (1758-1834) expanded his own copy of the Macklin Bible to 45 volumes after acquiring and inserting over 6200 different prints of Biblical events. The Bowyer Bible is now housed in Bolton Museums and Archives. For a presentation of many of these prints see archive.org/details/bowyer-bible

The TAG (Teen Advisory Group) volunteered to hand out candy at the park during the annual Halloween in the Park celebration. The theme for this year's library booth was Bookaneers so the kids had fun dressing up as Steam Punk Book Pirates!

The famous Secret Room (Gabinetto Segreto / Secret Cabinet) houses the erotica collection of the Visit the National Museum of Archaeology in Naples. For long, these erotica objects from Roman antiquity could only be seen with the personal permission of the king of Naples. It has only been open permanently to the general public for the last two decades or so – children may still only enter together with adults.

Many of the objects came from Pompeii where phallic symbols were quite prominently displayed both in public and private households. Priapus was a popular subject. An erect phallus was seen in Pompeii as a symbol of fertility, good luck, and wealth, and not necessarily as sexual.

Some of the erotica is of very high artistic quality while others are not much more than schoolboy smut that managed to survive for nearly two millennia. The Garden of Delights Room in the Altes Museum in Berlin also has a remarkable collection of erotica from antiquity on permanent display.

→ See also Visit the National Museum of Archaeology in Naples for more on one of the finest collections of antiquities in the world, including the marvelous Farnese sculptures (including Hercules at Rest and the Farnese Toro) and the best artworks, mosaics, as well as frescoes from the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

For our last shift at the orphanage, we hired a professional clown to come and entertain the younger kids. It was pretty great -- they paid attention pretty much the whole time (until it degenerated into a balloon-animal free-for-all) and some really got into it.

The festival of Vaisakhi celebrated in Bradford, April 2016. The Khalsa are Sikhs committed to fight oppression and stand up for basic needs such as food, clothing, health and education. A parade accompanied by uplifting Bhangra and beautiful Kirtan music, alongside wonderful, welcoming people. I flippin' love Bradford.
