In Bristol, Solent Marine has completed phase 2 of the redevelopment of the Bristol Harbourside Inlet, the installation of a bespoke 4 metre wide public boardwalk and 600 metres of Simbro pontoons. Using the Simbro system with SolDeck decking, the company has designed a 160 metre fixed boardwalk with a unique access system which includes rest stops for the disabled. The public pontoon features glass fibre reinforced concrete floats that provide an exceptional buoyancy level of 2.5kn/m², which is higher then recommended standards.

Six people were arrested following door-smashing warrants in Oldham this morning (30 July) as part of work tackling the importation of drugs into the area.
Four men and one woman, aged between 18 to 32, have been arrested on suspicion of the importation and supply of drugs in Oldham. A 26-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All remain in custody for questioning.
Officers arrived at five separate addresses to execute the early morning arrest warrants and found suspected class B drugs, in addition to dangerous weapons, including a crossbow and machete.
Phones and other items were additionally seized as part of the work.
The action comes on the back of intelligence gathered regarding the importation, supply, and distribution of drugs throughout the Derker and wider Oldham area.
Officers from GMP’s Operation Vulcan led the work, as part of their ongoing commitment to tackling criminality in the local community.
The problem-solving team are currently in Derker, following on from recent successes in Cheetham Hill and Piccadilly Gardens.
The six arrests this morning add to the 122 arrests already made by the Vulcan team since they began their work in Derker in March.
Detective Inspector Lee Newburn, from GMP’s Vulcan team, said: “This latest success is testament to the proactive and ongoing policing work in Derker, removing drugs and dangerous weapons off our streets.
"In our commitment to keeping Derker and the wider community safe we have carried out over 120 arrests and will continue to do this, pursuing those
responsible for their crimes and bring them to justice.
"Officers will continue to work tirelessly with local communities to ensure your safety. If you have any concerns in your area, we urge you to get in touch with us and we will do everything we can to help.
