In A Row is the theme for Macro Mondays Oct. 7th.

I tried taking a similar photo the other week but wasn't overly impressed with the results I got, so tried again today.

I'm a huge fan of macro photography so finding anything to get close to is fun for me. Though I've never tried using a theme before, which might be my main challenge.

Still not that happy with the sharpness of this photo...

The sun came out and although it wasn't overly warm it was lovely to get out.

Thank you for your favourites. :O)

Daucus carota, the flower has lacy quality in my opinion.

I had cut 3 separate little flowers from the flower cluster, you can see them here lying on a leaf.

Thank you! 😊 HAPPY Macro Mondays!

Swarovski used to make a lovely range of beads ... and I collected a few of each design I thought might photograph well. These are among my favourites. Called 'brilliants' they create all kinds of colours when the light hits them. These are tiny, about 8mm cubes.

These are more pollard willows whose trunk has been shortened as a young tree at a height of approximately 1 to 3 meters and whose branches are cut regularly.

Since branches of willows were often used as piles for the construction of fences, new plants emerged from these piles due to the enormous regenerative capacity of the willows. For this reason, pollard willows often occur (e.g. in the Lower Rhine area) in a row.

Today, there is now economic use of willows, as industrial substitute products have been established. This is why pollard willows are no longer cultivated nowadays.

On a visit to Lake Apopka, these ducks are enjoying a sunny day.

Lake Apopka is located 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Orlando. It is the third largest lake in the state of Florida. The north shore of Lake Apopka is a haven for bird watching, wildlife photographers and nature lovers of all ages. While there are six main access points to the lake, the main attraction is the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive.

According to wildlife reserve management, there are at least 367 different species of birds that find refuge around the lake. Alligators, bobcats, otters and other wildlife also call the lake and its surrounding area home.

Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive lets you see and photograph a large variety of birds and wildlife from the comfort of your automobile. The drive takes about two hours.

* I'm grateful for visit, faves and comments of my photo.

This is the perch that the Wood Ducks prefer now. It is a fallen tree with lots of places for them to perch but they liked being lined up in a row on this tree. A few years ago I saw them perched on another fallen tree with a nicer background. Taken at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Calgary. Another photo is in the comment box.

Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Two Violet-capped Woodnymphs (females) and a wasp.

Violet-capped Woodnymphs inhabit a wide range of habitats from untouched forests, to scrub, to suburban and city gardens. They gather nectar from both native and non-native flowers and also hunt for insects. During certain parts of the year, Violet-capped Woodnymphs migrate short distances. Males have a bluish violet cap and sparkle with dark green above and gold-green below. Females are dark greenish above and off-white below. During the breeding season, these woodnymphs adorn the outside of their nests with ferns and lichen.

I do miss all the ducks and birds I saw at the ocean in West Vancouver, BC. Here where a group of 10 Golden Eye ducks swimming in a row in the waters of the Burrard Inlet.
