El Perú avanzará en el fortalecimiento de la acuicultura frente a los efectos del cambio climático mediante un proyecto de cooperación técnica no reembolsable que contempla una inversión superior a los USD 5 millones para la implementación de tecnologías de protección, innovación productiva y fortalecimiento de capacidades en las regiones de Huánuco, Junín y Puno.
Durante la firma del Convenio de Cooperación Técnica No Reembolsable suscrito entre la Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF), el Ministerio de la Producción (PRODUCE) y el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA), para la ejecución del proyecto “Implementación de tecnologías de protección para fomentar la resiliencia de la acuicultura en las regiones de Huánuco, Junín y Puno, para fortalecer la seguridad alimentaria en el contexto del cambio climático”, el ministro César Quispe Luján destacó que esta iniciativa permitirá enfrentar de manera concreta la vulnerabilidad de los sistemas productivos acuícolas ante eventos climáticos extremos, contribuyendo al desarrollo sostenible y a la seguridad alimentaria del país.
“Hoy damos un paso firme hacia una acuicultura más preparada, más resiliente y más sostenible. Esta alianza demuestra que la cooperación internacional, cuando se articula con prioridades nacionales y territoriales, se traduce en resultados concretos para las personas. Que esta firma sea el inicio de nuevas oportunidades para nuestros productores y una muestra de que el Perú sigue avanzando.”, señaló el ministro.
El proyecto beneficiará directamente a más de 900 acuicultores de las regiones priorizadas y tendrá un impacto estimado en alrededor de 3900 personas, mediante la implementación de tecnologías resilientes, el fortalecimiento de capacidades técnicas y empresariales, y la mejora del sistema de gobernanza del sector acuícola.
Asimismo, el ministro remarcó que la acuicultura cumple un rol estratégico en las economías locales y en la provisión de alimentos, por lo que iniciativas como esta contribuyen no solo a reducir las pérdidas productivas, sino también a dinamizar las economías regionales y fortalecer la seguridad alimentaria de las comunidades más vulnerables.
La ejecución del proyecto estará a cargo del Ministerio de la Producción, con el apoyo de organismos de cooperación internacional, como parte de una estrategia orientada a transformar los desafíos del cambio climático en oportunidades de desarrollo productivo para las regiones del país.
"Agradecemos a CAF, al Fondo de Adaptación y al IICA por la confianza. Desde el Ministerio de la Producción asumimos esta responsabilidad con compromiso técnico y visión de largo plazo," señaló el titular de PRODUCE.
El evento, que contó con la participación de Sergio Díaz-Granados Guida, presidente ejecutivo de CAF, ministros de Estado y otras autoridades, se realizó en el marco del CLXXXVIII Directorio de CAF (Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe), donde, en un acto protocolar se suscribieron nueve Convenios/Actas de Cooperación Técnica No Reembolsable, destinados a financiar iniciativas del sector público en áreas como transportes, salud, agropecuaria, agua y gestión de residuos sólidos, entre otros.

A sessão, presidida pelo vereador e idealizador da iniciativa, Israel Zekcer (PTB), contou com a presença de lideranças da etnia da cidade e do Estado.
Ao usar a tribuna, a vice-prefeita destacou que a Secretaria de Governo, por meio do Departamento de Humanidades, tem se esforçado para fazer um levantamento minucioso de como vivem os ciganos na cidade, buscando implementar políticas públicas voltada para a comunidade.
Dinah destacou que ao realizar a II Conferência Municipal de Promoção de Igualdade Racial, em março de 2009, houve a solicitação da Câmara à realização de sessão solene anual, seguindo o Decreto Nacional de 2006, que institui o 24 de maio - Dia de Santa Sara Kali, a Padroeira Universal do Povo Cigano - como Dia Nacional do Cigano.
