As part of the implementation of its national SME development strategy, the Government of the DRC obtained a loan from the International Development Association (IDA) to finance the "Support Project for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises", PADMPME.
Created in 2005, following the evaluation forum of the Congolese Women's Caucus, CAFCO is a platform of women from civil society and political parties committed to the promotion of women's specific human rights and the protection of the population's welfare.
The first week of October 2022, UN Women gave business registers to the first cohort of women who volunteered for formalization with the support of CAFCO. The event took place in the Mont Ngafula commune in Kinshasa.

Dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre de sa stratégie nationale de développement des PME, le Gouvernement de la RDC a obtenu de l’Association Internationale de Développement (IDA) un crédit pour financer le « Projet d’Appui au Développement des Micro, Petites et Moyennes Entreprises », PADMPME.
Créé en 2005, suite au forum d'évaluation du Caucus des femmes congolaises, CAFCO est une plateforme de femmes de la société civile et des partis politiques engagés dans la promotion des droits humains spécifiques des femmes et la protection du bien-être de la population.
La première semaine d'octobre 2022, ONU Femmes a remis des registres commerciaux à la première cohorte de femmes qui se sont portées volontaires pour la formalisation avec le soutien de CAFCO. L'événement a eu lieu dans la commune de Mont Ngafula à Kinshasa.

Prosperidad Social implementará convenios con organizaciones sociales y juntas de acción comunal (JAC) para los proyectos de infraestructura social y hábitat, que financia y ejecuta en los municipios más pobres del país. La directora de la entidad, Cielo Rusinque Urrego, lo anunció este viernes en el Congreso Nacional de Municipios, organizado por la Federación Nacional de Municipios en Cartagena de Indias.
“Tenemos capacidad legal para hacer estos convenios solidarios, en compañía con el ente territorial. Acompañaremos técnicamente lo que requieran, de acuerdo con la complejidad de las obras y la capacidad que haya en el territorio. Vincular a estas organizaciones beneficiará la economía popular y garantizará la participación de la comunidad”, explicó. Recordó que el Gobierno Nacional pretende fortalecer a las organizaciones sociales y comunitarias y fomentar su participación en los procesos de desarrollo territorial.
Las JAC integrarán el comité que seleccionará los proyectos de infraestructura. Serán priorizados de acuerdo con una clasificación que cruza criterios, entre esos, los índices de desnutrición, riesgo de victimización y pobreza multidimensional. El comité estará conformado por representantes de las JAC, el Ministerio de la Igualdad, la Consejería de Regiones, el ICBF, la Unidad para las Víctimas y Prosperidad Social.
La entidad tiene 500.000 millones de pesos destinados a la ejecución de obras de infraestructura social y hábitat durante este año. “100.000 millones de pesos están destinados a la subsanación de los proyectos pendientes de vigencias anteriores. El resto están destinados a obras en territorios que podamos apoyar, de acuerdo con las necesidades y con la aplicación del enfoque diferencial territorial”, informó Rusinque.
En el escenario del congreso de alcaldes, el subdirector de Programas y Proyectos de la entidad, Carlos Chinchilla, y el director de infraestructura, Eduardo Mesa, atendieron a alcaldes de municipios en los que hay proyectos suspendidos de vigencias anteriores, para acordar la realización de las mesas técnicas en las que revisarán la posibilidad de agilizarlos.
Desde noviembre pasado, la entidad organiza estas mesas técnicas para revisar la viabilidad de los proyectos de infraestructura social con mayor impacto en las condiciones de las poblaciones más vulnerables: con mayor incidencia de hambre y pobreza, y riesgos o consecuencias por el invierno. Desde entonces, ha logrado destrabar cerca de setenta obras en más de sesenta municipios del país. Algunas de estas obras fueron entregadas este mes durante una jornada nacional.
“Recibimos una ejecución del presupuesto del 5 %. En pocos meses, al finalizar el año, la llevamos a la ejecución de más del 75 %, mediante el acompañamiento en mesas técnicas para viabilizar y ejecutar los proyectos”, recordó Rusinque este viernes.

Participants in a learning event held on June 4, 2014 had the opportunity to learn more about the experiences of Opportunity International (Ghana), Habitat for Humanity (India), and the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (Afghanistan) in the development and implementation of housing microfinance initiatives.
In 2009, USAID awarded three new Implementation Grant Programs (IGPs) to promote housing microfinance for poor households. The grantees have been testing different models of financing and assisting housing improvements and micro-mortgages. The objective of these IGPs is to allow grantees to develop and implement viable business models and roll out products to a greater number of clients, and to document and share their learning with the program and the industry. Such approaches aim to support improved standards of living as well as asset creation for poor households, while being commercially viable for microfinance institutions.
The SEEP Network has been facilitating a learning network that ensures high quality outcomes with respect to the learning processes of the grantees along with the creation of highly relevant learning products for wide-scale dissemination. The learning network advances the learning agenda for the Housing MF IGP network and the industry at large.

During a working trip to Mykolaiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the presentation of the projects implemented under the patronage of the Kingdom of Denmark over the region.
The Head of State took part in the presentation of the office of the Embassy of Denmark in Mykolaiv and the representative office of the Danish company Bright Bird, which deals with risk management and organization of contacts for Danish companies in Ukraine.
The Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration familiarized the Head of State with the work of the Regional Office for International Cooperation at the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration established pursuant to the instruction of the President of Ukraine. The office coordinates and oversees projects implemented at the expense of Denmark, the main partner in the restoration of Mykolaiv region, as well as its partners, including municipalities, government organizations and companies from Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries.
The Regional Office for International Cooperation is working on proposals for priority areas of economic reconstruction and development, as well as for eliminating the consequences of Russian aggression in Mykolaiv region.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, the Danish Parliament and society for supporting important projects in Ukraine.
"We need such stories of success with very specific results," the President said.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of implementing programs of patronage over Mykolaiv region.
"This is indeed a success story. The patronage program for this region, and especially for those regions that are under attack on a daily basis, is very important. This is an example that shows other countries what we can do. And they can help rebuild Ukraine now, without waiting for global post-war recovery plans. So help Ukraine, because our country is living in a struggle right now," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President emphasized that Ukraine will do everything possible to preserve infrastructure, institutions and security for business even in the face of full-scale Russian aggression.

Este semestre se integrará la modalidad de tutores pares al Programa de
Tutoría de la Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas (UNICACH), lo que
reforzará la labor que ya realizan los docentes para orientar a los
estudiantes en el mejor aprovechamiento de los servicios que les ofrece la
institución.
La Secretaría Académica de la universidad promovió el curso
taller Tutorías pares o entre iguales, impartido por Fredy Vázquez Pérez,
experto en el tema, con el objetivo de capacitar a 31 estudiantes de las
diferentes carreras en la operación de este tipo de asesoría.
La tutoría entre iguales en la enseñanza universitaria
constituye en la actualidad una importante estrategia de orientación con la
que se pretende facilitar los procesos de adaptación y promoción del
alumnado de nuevo ingreso.
Durante el desarrollo del curso se realizaron actividades
orientadas al desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional y de la capacidad
para establecer relaciones interpersonales e intrapersonales, lo que
facilitará que un estudiante pueda compartir con otros sus experiencias de
desarrollo universitario.
Nashieli Merchant López, coordinadora del taller, detalló que
aunque ya existe en la UNICACH un programa de tutorías donde los asesores
son docentes, se toma en consideración que entre alumnos puede haber mayor
acercamiento al reconocerse como iguales, de esta manera ambas modalidades
se complementarán en beneficio de los estudiantes.

En el escenario del congreso de alcaldes, el subdirector de Programas y Proyectos de la entidad, Carlos Chinchilla, y el director de infraestructura, Eduardo Mesa, atendieron a alcaldes de municipios en los que hay proyectos suspendidos de vigencias anteriores, para acordar la realización de las mesas técnicas en las que revisarán la posibilidad de agilizarlos.
Desde noviembre pasado, la entidad organiza estas mesas técnicas para revisar la viabilidad de los proyectos de infraestructura social con mayor impacto en las condiciones de las poblaciones más vulnerables: con mayor incidencia de hambre y pobreza, y riesgos o consecuencias por el invierno. Desde entonces, ha logrado destrabar cerca de setenta obras en más de sesenta municipios del país. Algunas de estas obras fueron entregadas este mes durante una jornada nacional.
“Recibimos una ejecución del presupuesto del 5 %. En pocos meses, al finalizar el año, la llevamos a la ejecución de más del 75 %, mediante el acompañamiento en mesas técnicas para viabilizar y ejecutar los proyectos”, recordó Rusinque este viernes.

Building on the ‘Ecosystem Landscaping to advance the Accountability to implement the Women’s Empowerment Principles in ASEAN’, the WeEmpowerAsia programme, UN women jointly develops and will disseminate the Building Pathways to Gender Equality and Sustainability through the Women's Empowerment Principles: Thailand Policy Brief (hereafter referred as ‘Thailand Policy Brief’) with key partners, namely the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP).
Gender Responsive Procurement (GRP) is one of the initiatives recommended in the Thailand Policy Brief. GRP can identify, incorporate and support women business owners seeking to access government/corporate procurement contracts. In support of the initiative, UN Women and Kenan Foundation Asia will host the “IDEA to I do”, a business presentation competition for selected women entrepreneurs, to showcase the capacity of WOB and WLB developed under WeEmpowerAsia Programme as means to promote women’s participation in supply chain. Winners will receive the WeRise Awards and the prizes are comprised of one winner, one first runner-up and one second runner-up.

Escuelas deportivas municipales recibieron
implementos para la práctica de la niñez
Los entrenadores de las escuelas deportivas de baloncesto, box, fútbol y natación recibieron implementos indispensables para las prácticas de los niños y niñas que pertenecen a las escuelas deportivas del GAD Municipal de Quevedo y se desarrollan en el Complejo Deportivo Municipal de Agrilsa.
El aporte se da gracias al apoyo permanente que le ha venido brindando el alcalde Jorge Domínguez López a las escuelas deportivas desde el inicio de su gestión, como parte de un proceso de masificación deportiva donde la niñez tenga la oportunidad de aprender una actividad y de sano entretenimiento.
La directora del Departamento de Cultura y Deportes, Ab. Valeska Verduga, entregó personalmente los implementos que comprenden más de 20 balones de básquetbol, cuarenta pelotas de fútbol, así como doce guantes y sacos para boxeos; de igual manera para el área de natación sesenta tubos flotantes, cuarenta tablas flotantes y otros equipos que se utilizan para el aprendizaje de esta actividad.
“Gracias a la colaboración del Ing. Jorge Domínguez, se pudo hacer una entrega muy importante para las academias municipales deportivas, a fin de que los instructores dispongan de las herramientas necesarias para desarrollar de la mejor manera sus actividades”, acotó la funcionaria.
De su parte, el entrenador de fútbol Alberto Menéndez, quien tiene a cargo la enseñanza de un grupo de alumnos, agradeció al primer personero municipal por la gestión realizada en beneficio de la niñez; además el contar con nuevos balones que incentiva a los niños a practicar el deporte.
Además, se informó que el inicio de las escuelas deportivas permanentes municipales se lo tiene previsto para el 22 de mayo hasta diciembre del año en curso.

As part of the implementation of its national SME development strategy, the Government of the DRC obtained a loan from the International Development Association (IDA) to finance the "Support Project for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises", PADMPME.
Created in 2005, following the evaluation forum of the Congolese Women's Caucus, CAFCO is a platform of women from civil society and political parties committed to the promotion of women's specific human rights and the protection of the population's welfare.
The first week of October 2022, UN Women gave business registers to the first cohort of women who volunteered for formalization with the support of CAFCO. The event took place in the Mont Ngafula commune in Kinshasa.

Créé en 2005, suite au forum d'évaluation du Caucus des femmes congolaises, CAFCO est une plateforme de femmes de la société civile et des partis politiques engagés dans la promotion des droits humains spécifiques des femmes et la protection du bien-être de la population.
La première semaine d'octobre 2022, ONU Femmes a remis des registres commerciaux à la première cohorte de femmes qui se sont portées volontaires pour la formalisation avec le soutien de CAFCO. L'événement a eu lieu dans la commune de Mont Ngafula à Kinshasa.
