The marsh is from the east coast and the mountains from the west coast. The clouds are from the north and south. My wide angle lens took it all in on this very clear day.

This is a by me repaired, coloured and processed photo. The original is an image with no known copyright information from the great Costică Acsinte Archive. I caught the the skinny bird with my camera at the The Finnish Museum of Natural History and the background view is this scene.

I think it can be useful to share this with you to show how I'm

usually editing my photos... Most of the time, I'm simply trying

to remove all the little imperfections from the original pic and I

also spend some time improving the lights, tones, colors and

the general composition of the photo.

I really always want to preserve the "essence" and "spirit"

of the original shot. All the edits I do in post-production

are only meant to express an idea or a message (usually

explained in the title or description of my posts on Flickr).

This Image is the result of an extensive image editing process using Photoshop 2014 and a Wacom tablet, I urge you to

view the unedited original here

This is just an experiment with my technique to try to keep my post processing knowledge intact.

Hi everybody, just to let you know that I made THIS VIDEO

featuring the "before" and "after" versions of some 70 of my

photos (with original music). These are mainly the most popular

pictures from my Flickr stream and I've never shown the initial

images previously. I think this vid might be interesting for young

photographers willing to learn some photo editing possibilities...

usually editing my photos... Most of the time, I'm simply trying

to remove all the little imperfections from the original pic and I

also spend some time improving the lights, tones, colors and

the general composition of the photo. In the above case, it's a

simple "selective coloring" manual edit. I also highlighted the

pilgrim's silhouette.

I really always want to preserve the "essence" and "spirit"

of the original shot. All the edits I do in post-production

are only meant to express an idea or a message (usually

Global warming in the summer.

In shadowy space, in the loneliness of the final frontier, well out of Hubble’s reach both sweet and savoury comestibles spin around their own axis. Are these, in the interstellar emptiness spinning tops, which seem to float in-between dimension and space, snacks of the Starchild, canteen waste of the Imperial fleet or was the teleport perhaps acting up agin? All possibilities are infinitely improbable, ou quoi Valérian?

See the whole series.

Recently I visited the campus of The University of Arizona, here in Tucson. I got inspired by some of the cool looking architecture. I take my camera phone with me everywhere I go. I created this image using a bunch of tricky editing techniques.. I use GIMP image editing software because it's FREE... Photoshop is way too expensive..
