Mrinalini Mukherjee cast sculptures in the Palmscape series from plant fragments that she gathered around New Delhi and reconfigured to create invented species.
Palmscape IX was the last that she completed before her death.

Spitfire IX MK912 / G-BRRA at the Shuttleworth Festival of Flight 2025 flown by Jim Schofield.
Built in 1944, this Spitfire served with 312 (Czech) Squadron during WWII. Afterwards, it served with the Royal Netherlands Air Force and then the Belgian Air Force. Following retirement, it spent time as gate guardian at Saffraenberg, Belgium and later moved to the Musee Royal de l'Armee, Brussels. The aircraft passed between various private owners in the 1980s-90s, moving to the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar, Biggin Hill for restoration to airworthiness from where it flew again in 2000. Following a forced landing in August 2015, the aircraft again underwent a second restoration culminating a post-restoration flight in July 2024 from Biggin Hill.
It is seen here painted in authentic RAF markings which it wore on D-Day when flown by P/O Miroslav Liskutin DFC

Spitfire Mk.IX ‘LZ842 / EF-F’ (G-CGZU being expertly flown by Andy Monk at 2026 Shuttleworth Summer Airshow. The aircraft is painted in the authentic markings of 232 Squadron RAF which this particular aircraft served with in the Mediterranean theatre during 1943 - 1944. It was completed at Castle Bromwich in April 1943 and was assigned to the Middle East Air Force. It is known to have served in Malta and Sicily with 93 and 232 Squadrons before joining 327 (free French) Squadron in October 1944, but was damaged beyond repair and stored. Post-war the disassembled aircraft changed ownership several times over subsequent decades, moving variously between South Africa, the UK and Australia until being acquired in 2003 by its current owner in the UK for restoration to flight. Its first post restoration flight was in 2022. Apparently this is also the only Spitfire flying in the world with a Rolls Royce Merlin 63.
