The rooster in the foreground is an ornament of one of the half-timbered houses in the center of Idstein (Hesse, Germany), in the background crows perched on the top of the tower of the Unionskirche church.
CR-90 corvettes were one of the most common anti-starfighter crafts used by the Rebel Alliance in the galactic civil war. Their armament of two double turbolaser batteries, and four smaller lasercannons made them viable against swarms of smaller ships. Their mass-to-power -ratio was off the charts, thanks to the eleven ion turbine engines strapped into its back. This ship was most notably used by princess Leia in the film New hope (1977), where it made its appearance during the first minutes of the film, thus making it the first ship to be seen in Star Wars.
My Lego model of this iconic vehicle is built in approx. 1:600 scale, and features movable turrets and retractable landing skids. The stand, even tho looks flimsy, holds the ship up decently well.
The model is 50 centimeters or 60 studs in length, and weights about two kilograms. The front and back sections can be easily separated for convinient transport.
An early one from back in 2020. This is the time of day I like taking pics best and it was the first time taking pics of someone on the street which is what I really wanted to do from the start.

Powered by five plasma-spheres, this SHIP is primarily used for deep space exploration.
Finished this one before Skaerbaek but wasn't able to bring it down there unfortunately. Really had fun using the christmas-globes, although I really wish they had some connections points...measures around 115-120 studs.
So I was finally able to edit a picture of this build, just took my old-ass laptop 5 crashes before it got done...haha!

Dear contacts and friends - I have a habit of commenting as much as I can on all of your uploads, even when I am not uploading myself.
I am now embarking on a project that will need my full attention and I must try not to be distracted too much by Flickr.

Statue of King Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor. He lived from 1316 to 1378. The statue was erected in 1848, the 500th anniversary of Charles University in Prague, which was founded by King Charles in 1348.
IV. After a long day he finally had made it home. His loving wife stood waiting outside their little hut, holding their little one. All letters were delivered, now it was time for what mattered most in life: Family.

Mainly trying my hand at detailled wall textures here. I think I managed to capture the essence of this iconic corridor.Thus I didn't want to recreate any classic scene but rather went with what felt could happen any other day in the early days of the rebellion.

With an expanded boiler capacity and one of the first quantum clocks within it's ticking brain, the Mk IV was to prove a revolution in automaton design.

The next gen, with fully rotational head. this was important, as now it can be prone and look anywhere. It is also the same height as my previous drones, but folds up better.
Will probably clean up the arms on further iterations. Legs still cannot support themselves, it's an issue that needs working on.
Although I quite like the official Lego sets for the Tantive IV their proportions were highly inaccurate. I tried to get as close to the original as possible with this model.
To get the scale right I started with the hardest part: the cockpit. I wanted it to fit at least two minifigures and that pretty much set the scale for the entire model.
This one is for the composition in black and white. I think it would enlarge very well.
I remind people that this image was taken outdoors in full sunlight. No other lighting has been used.

Le sculpteur Bosio représente Henri de Navarre, le fondateur, en 1589, de la dynastie des Bourbons, encore enfant et âgé d’une dizaine d’années. Cette statue en argent, datée de 1824, est une commande destinée au roi de France Louis XVIII (1815-1824), 1er Bourbon à retrouver son trône depuis la fin de la monarchie en 1792 suivie par la mise à mort de Louis XVI en 1793. Ce portrait rétrospectif, en pied, du jeune Henri IV vêtu comme les gentilshommes de la cour du roi Valois Charles IX (1570-1574), met en valeur l’assurance et l’aisance du jeune prince, la main gauche tenant fermement le pommeau de son épée, les traits du visage exprimant une certaine détermination. Effigie de propagande, l’utilisation de l’image du fondateur de la dynastie devait valoriser celle des Bourbons (de la période appelée « la Restauration » (1815-1830)) après la Révolution et l’Empire napoléonien, en rappelant leur passé glorieux et en jouant sur la popularité dont Henri IV jouissait au début du 19ème siècle.
Bosio s’est inspiré d’un tableau attribué alors à François II Bunel (1522-1599) Henri IV, roi de France (1553-1614) aujourd’hui conservé au musée national de Château de Versailles (MV 3282), pour réaliser une œuvre qui se rattache par sa dimension familière au style Troubadour. Commande du roi Louis XVIII, la statue lui est présentée inachevée le 25 août 1824, jour de la fête du roi. Elle est placée dans le cabinet royal au palais des Tuileries. Le succès est tel que Bosio reçoit commande de deux marbres, l’un pour Versailles, l’autre pour la chambre d’Henri IV au château de Pau. Il fait aussi fondre douze bronzes. Mais c’est avec les réductions du fondeur Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892) que le modèle se diffuse auprès du grand public. Œuvre la plus copiée sous la Restauration (1815-1830), elle témoigne de l’engouement pour le premier Bourbon.

"L’art et le pouvoir politique ont toujours noué des liens étroits, comme le révèle la nouvelle exposition de la Petite Galerie. Pour sa troisième saison, l’espace dédié à l’éducation artistique et culturelle du Louvre s’intéresse ainsi aux codes de représentation du pouvoir politique, depuis l’Antiquité jusqu’à nos jours.
Mettant en scène des œuvres du Louvre et celles de grandes institutions culturelles françaises, l’exposition présente aussi bien des figures du prince « guerrier », « bâtisseur » ou « héroïsé », en référence aux modèles antiques, que des objets symbolisant la puissance.
Le parcours montre tout d’abord comment les images sont utilisées pour légitimer le pouvoir, notamment à travers la figure d’Henri IV qui fait l’objet d’une étude particulière, ou quelques célèbres portraits de monarques et d’empereurs comme Louis XVI ou Napoléon. Des objets emblématiques de la monarchie, tels que les regalia, objets du sacre des rois de France, sont également mis en avant. La dernière partie met enfin en lumière les ruptures historiques et iconographiques nées avec la Révolution française."
