High ISO tests from my D4. - This shot was taken at ISO 25,600:
From ISO 1600 to ISO 6400 there was ZERO noise reduction applied.
From ISO 12,800 it moved from MILD levels (5% on the LR noise slider) of noise reduction to a maximum of 75% of the LR noise slider for the ISO 204,800 shot. Now, at the highest ISO settings, the camera let the colours go a bit wonky on the red channel, but I could not care less. Even at those levels, the shot is distinguishable and in the case of a situation where the options were of having no shot or having a shot at ISO 204,800, I would have ZERO issues using this setting.
