Visitors to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts' special exhibition "Matisse: Masterworks from The Baltimore Museum of Art" (February 23-May 18, 2014) drew inspiration from Henri Matisse’s paper-cutout technique he called “drawing with scissors." They created their own colorful cut paper postcards and penned messages people who inspire them.

Dramatic skies inspired me to climb the Yates Parkade for a better view.
I love a good sunrise/set horizon pov - so much of the dramatic cloud action happens here - and capturing the wide-open view on its own terms. But after establishing the 'canvas' if you will, I wish to experiment more with dramatic shapes set before the dramatic skies.
This is what happened here... after rooftop photos of a wide-open sky, I was intrigued to include the shapes of this stairwell.
