The last picture I'll be posting from this roll. Whether or not I use Pan F Plus again any time soon, it showed me that B&W film photography is still worth it, both for its quality and its creative limitations. I'll probably go for some faster emulsions (TMY or Tri-X 400, HP5, etc. or 100 film like TMX and Delta) to play with some more grain, but I liked this intro.

We stopped at the lighthouse at Pigeon Point on the way to Santa Cruz. After taking a couple of shots of the lighthouse and going through the adjoining museum, we walked out to the end of the walkway, where Bill asked me about the Rolleicord.
Like a number others who have approached me to talk about the camera, Bill spoke fondly of the memories he had of his father's similar camera (he was pretty sure it was a Rollei, although unsure which model).
When I told him of my rule, he was very happy to oblige, as the proud look in his eyes might indicate.

Well I did miss one small detail ... In my previous post of my recent Mamiya RB67 shots, I highlighted the steps I have to go through when making an exposure.
Well ... I have a confession ... I had a roll of Ilford Pan F 50 in the camera, banged off 10 shots and realized I hadn't pulled the curtain out of the film back to allow for the film to be exposed! Crap!
Had to try a shot at f32.0 @ 1/15th to check out the details

Alison, chilling out in a really cool little restaurant/piano bar called Spajz (pronounced "shpyz" - it means "pantry").
Downtown Ann Arbor. There's a lot going on here, but I like the contrast. And it's a perfect example of what, if taken on my 60D, would have been a nightmare of insecurity converting to B&W in Lightroom.
