If you have the flickr-app on your mobile phone, take a try and turn it around! That makes a cool effect. (Hold your mobile phone flat to avoid autoturn-mode from display or disable the function). Those who are in front of the pc can compare to my previous shot what is the same.
Hope you like it.
If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.
We are more determined than ever to live our lives in freedom.

“I've changed my ways a little, I cannot now
Run with you in the evenings along the shore,
Except in a kind of dream, and you, if you dream a moment,
You see me there.”
― Robinson Jeffers
John Robinson Jeffers was an American poet, known for his work about the central California coast. Much of Jeffers's poetry was written in narrative and epic form. However, he is also known for his shorter verse and is considered an icon of the environmental movement.

If you're a lover, you should know
The lonely moments just get lonelier
The longer you're in love than if you were alone
Memories turn into daydreams, become a taboo
I don't want to be afraid, the deeper that I go
It takes my breath away, soft hearts, electric souls
Heart to heart and eyes to eyes, is this taboo?
Baby, we built this house on memories
Take my picture now, shake it till you see it
And when your fantasies become your legacy
Promise me a place, in your house of memories
Memorial sculpture at the cemetery of the National Children's Home (NCH) and Orphanage in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. NCH was a London-based Christian charity. In 1913, and following the philosophy that fresh air and the countryside would be best for marginalised city kids, it moved its operations to Highfield Oval (now part of Harpenden). There, they set up a kind of model village complete with all the necessary facilities, including a sanatorium. The cemetery, however, does contain many graves of children who died in care (and some of those who cared for them too). The high infant mortality may have to do with the fact that NCH also accepted emergency cases - such as children with severe tuberculosis. NCH closed its operations in 1985. Fuji X-Pro3.

Image 85 in this fun series of the capturing of the BULB capture. This capture is taken at Middle River in Maryland showing the smoothed clouds and smoothed out water surface.
This series allows the viewer to see conditions as they were during the shot, and then the resulting long exposure effect on the water and clouds. It also shows how people moving about 'vanish' from the long exposure.
For this moment in time I am displaying the long exposure taken on the right side (796 seconds long), and the conditions that were during this time can be seen on the capture to the left showing the BULB capture being taken. It was actually pretty interesting watching the sky change tones and colors during that 800 seconds and the resulting combination obtained on the sensor.
Other images in this series can be seen in The Album "If They Could See What We Can See"

If you are driving into Tarragona its always worth stopping to look at this most beautiful piece of historical architecture. The Pont de les Ferreres also known as Pont del Diable (Devil’s Bridge) is a Roman bridge, on the outskirts of Tarragona , in Catalonia, Spain. The aqueduct was added to the UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 2000.
Description from Wiki
The Tárraco aqueduct took water from the Francolí river, 15 kilometers north of Tarragona. It probably dates from the time of Augustus. The Pont de les Ferreres is composed of two levels of arches: the upper section has 25 arches, and the lower one has 11. All arches have the same diameter of 20 Roman feet. It has a maximum height of 89 ft and a length of 817 ft, including the ends where the specus (water channel) runs atop a wall.

Double-crested Cormorant:
The gangly Double-crested Cormorant is a prehistoric-looking, matte-black fishing bird with yellow-orange facial skin. Though they look like a combination of a goose and a loon, they are relatives of frigatebirds and boobies and are a common sight around fresh and salt water across North America—perhaps attracting the most attention when they stand on docks, rocky islands, and channel markers, their wings spread out to dry. These solid, heavy-boned birds are experts at diving to catch small fish.
From a distance, Double-crested Cormorants are dark birds with snaky necks, but up-close they’re quite colorful—with orange-yellow skin on their face and throat, striking aquamarine eyes that sparkle like jewels, and a mouth that is bright blue on the inside.
The double crest of the Double-crested Cormorant is only visible on adults during breeding season. The crests are white in cormorants from Alaska and black in other regions.
Cormorants often stand in the sun with their wings spread out to dry. They have less preen oil than other birds, so their feathers can get soaked rather than shedding water like a duck’s. Though this seems like a problem for a bird that spends its life in water, wet feathers probably make it easier for cormorants to hunt underwater with agility and speed.
Double-crested Cormorant nests often are exposed to direct sun. Adults shade the chicks and also bring them water, pouring it from their mouths into those of the chicks.

If it wasn't for his call I probably wouldn't have seen this male Kestrel with his prey perched high up in the tree.
"If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea,
I'll sail the world to find you...
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see
I'll be the light to guide you..."
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son.
-Rudyard Kipling

If you are wondering how I am uploading so many photos, which, according to Flickr, you can see, but I cannot. I am frustrated and still trying to figure out why I cannot, and maybe if I can see them!
I am keeping the above comment uploaded for the moment because I am still experiencing problems.
Well, my friends, if you get to see my photos, that is great, but I am unable to see that they are uploaded to Flickr!

If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.
