"Shine On You Crazy Diamond", was written as a tribute to Syd Barrett, one of the founders of Pink Floyd. He was also known as "The Crazy Diamond Syd". Barrett was a very creative musician and is considered one of the rock icons, with a strong influence on many artists, very especially to David Bowie. Syd Barrett is a key piece to understand the evolution of rock in the 70s.. Excessive drug use, especially LSD, caused him serious mental health problems. Syd Barrett died in 2006 at the age of 60. The Universal is a science fiction song written as a tribute to two films by film director Stanley Kubrick. I think this format is a love it or hate it thing, I'm having fun for now experimenting and I like to think it's a way of showing a fuller perspective. Although obviously if you're viewing on a phone it's just crap.
For me, if there is an upside to lockdown this is it. A few acres of incredibly untouched and undisturbed woodland barely a mile from home that I hardly knew existed, it's a refuge for an astonishing range of wildlife and the perfect respite from all the frustrations of current limitations. Thanks to everyone who has commented, glad you like it and pleased if I've given you a smile. Next challenges are really getting to grips with the wildlife, and also charting the seasons. Stay safe all.

If you have a fear of crossing bridges, you'll want to avoid this one, over ten MILES long, (I had to double check that!) and the speed limit is 75 miles per hour. It's the Vasco da Gama bridge in Lisbon, Portugal, and this is a reproduction hanging in my living room. Even the painting is 5 feet wide......
