Just barely!
They'd already sampled the liver pate cream cheese frosting, so they knew well that this posing for photos nonsense would pay off. Don't they just look thrilled?! ;-)
I didn't put a lot of thought or preparation into all of this. Ran off to the stores late in the day, threw together a cake, snapped a few pics, let the boys mauw on their cake & finished the day off with a walk. Elroy & Gabe had a couple of car rides in the afternoon, they went to run at the park in the morning, too. So all in all, I don't think Elroy had any complaints about how his birthday unfolded.
Forest Service Humor. What a bunch of jokers. The Donner Camp was the site where a party of pioneers headed for California became snowbound in the winter of 1846-47. Of the 87 members of the party, 48 survived the ordeal. To fend off starvation, the survivors resorted to . . . uh . . . "serving their fellow man." What better way to commemorate those gruesome events than with a picnic ground? Fire up the grill and let's barbeque some ribs! Tahoe National Forest. Near Truckee, Nevada Co., Calif.
Humor Monastery was constructed in 1530 by Voievod Petru Rareş. It was closed in 1786 and was not reopened until 1990.
Humor was one of the first of Moldavia's painted monasteries to be frescoed and, along with Voroneţ, is probably the best preserved. The subjects of the frescoes at Humor include the Siege of Constantinople and the Last Judgment, common on the exterior of the painted monasteries of Bucovina, but also the Hymn to the Virgin inspired by the poem of Patriarch Sergius of Constantinople relating to the miraculous intervention of the Theotokos in saving the city from Persian conquest in 626.

WEEK 13 – Book Haven Closing
An example of a section divider as seen down low to the ground in the same aisle pictured prevously. The humor section is one I usually tend to frequent in bookstores :P
On my eBay operation note: my mom recounts a time when I saw a book (not humor, lol) that I was looking for in their eBay area, which at the time hadn't yet outgrown their electrical closet, to which the door had been left open. They wouldn't sell it to us humor me. :/
