Humor Monastery located in Mănăstirea Humorului, about 5 km north of the town of Gura Humorului, Romania. It is a monastery for nuns dedicated to the Dormition of Virgin Mary, or Theotokos. It was constructed in 1530 by Voievod Petru Rareş and his chancellor Teodor Bubuiog. The monastery was built over the foundation of a previous monastery that dated from around 1415. The Humor monastery was closed in 1786 and was not reopened until 1990. The church has been inscribed by UNESCO on its list of World Heritage Sites, as one of the Painted churches of Moldavia.
As I came out of a store I spotted a Smart Car-sized vehicle whose owner had a sense of humor. "So Big" is soooo appropriate. In another life I'd like to have one as an in-town car. Unfortunately, two children's car seats make that plan unworkable. That's OK, I'd rather have the grandkids.

Humor was one of the first of Moldavia's painted monasteries to be frescoed and, along with Voroneţ, is probably the best preserved. The dominant colour of the frescoes is a reddish brown. The master painter responsible for Humor's frescoes, which were painted in 1535, is one Toma of Suceava.
The church has been inscribed by UNESCO on its list of World Heritage Sites, as one of the Painted churches of Moldavia.

" “Dave” as it is affectionately known, was painted by Tabby on the 27th November 2018. Using spray paint and stencils, this piece was one of three works which went up on Tabby’s 2nd visit to Carlisle. Tabby commented “This was a really fun piece to create as we hid in plain sight completing this piece at night while the bar was open, there were actually people sitting on the table directly on the other side of the wall with no idea!” The video below shows how street artists often hide in plain sight … even the police sometimes miss them! This piece is a great example of Tabby’s trademark use of humor in his art and a reminder that art, especially that seen in the public domain while going around one’s daily business doesn’t always have to have a strong message and can simply be fun and have a soul purpose of raising a smile… You have got to feel sorry for Dave though right? "

We don't have police call boxes in the United States. We do have portable toilets. But, could this be an American TARDIS? Bigger on the inside?

As I walked over the Bridge Of Dreams, I noticed that horses also travel this path. Watch your step.

I've been wandering thru my house and looking at all the various gifts Mom has given me over the years. Nothing was presenting itself for the letter H. Then I decided not all gifts are tangible.
Mom enjoyed a good laugh, a funny story, and generally having fun. Humor makes life more enjoyable
in a box of things I saved from the past.
"This is how to be cool. First you get some sunglasses. Next you get your parachute pants. Then you get a sweatband.
Last you go on the street."

A picture worth a thousand words. I recovered this image from a damaged CD that dated back to my newspaper days in the early 90s. Daily assignments back then included finding feature art that could stand alone as main art on section fronts.
