We 're very near the ant of the year.

The playground was empty. The children, dogs and frazzled parents had left for the day. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. That's when I realized alien beings had been studying us all along, waiting patiently amid the playground equipment. Do be aware of your surroundings. You never know who is watching you.

I was photographing pollinators on flowers at the Alaska Botanical Gardens when I captured this image. I think it's obvious that some insects aren't quite over the colder temperatures as they continue to wear their winter clothing.

Oh, and for you folks who are going to tell me that the socks are on wrong, no, that's the way the bumble bee's legs are, so it just looks wrong to us but they're wearing them correctly!
