Very dark background, so the higher iso resulted in a bit of noise. I've found these little guys can definitely humble your photography knowledge and play with your patience... alot of time spent just waiting.
This is the third time I've ever seen a hummingbird and the first time I've got a semi-decent shot! Or two. I like first times.

Here's a couple of photos of maybe a youngster Hummingbird? Although there has been alot of rainy days this Spring -- maybe he was just a soggy male, looking so disheveled. i was so happy that he would sit and pose for me for several seconds on the branches I had placed by the feeder. Unfortunately they were in the shade, but he is a cutie, none the less, don't you think?
